Confiding

Aidan's pov

When I woke up there was a bright light above me and I saw Blossom and Kid sitting beside me. As soon as I saw Blossom with a large cut of the front of her neck my memories of last night came flooding back. 

"Blossom are you....?" I attempted to ask but Blossom put her hand up to silence me.

"I'm fine Aidan, I'm not the one who you should be worrying about." Blossom said. My thoughts immediately turned to Kid. 

"Kid are you....?" I began again.

"Aidan, Blossom and I aren't the ones in the hospital bed." Kid replied. I knew he was right but I couldn't help worrying about them. Blossom went to go visit Soul who I think she has a crush on, leaving me alone with Kid. Nygus walked in with a chart and smiled at me.

"You seem to be recovering nicely, your injuries were severe but nothing that won't heal. How do you feel?" The nurse, Nygus asked me.

"Fine, I guess." I replied in a detached voice.

"She wouldn't know if she's fine she is too busy worrying about us." Blossom said as she walked back in with Patty and Liz walking behind her. Nygus smiled and checked her clipboard again as she walked out. 

"Hey Kid, us three are going to go to Maka and Soul's apartment. Everyone is gathering round there so you and Aidan should come by when your ready." Liz told Kid. Kid nodded as they left again. 

"Who was that last night Aidan?" Kid asked as soon as they were gone.

"That was the woman your.. I mean our father hired to be my mother. Apparently I ruined her life and now she is out for revenge." I answered casually.

"How was she so powerful as to be able to hurt?" Kid asked surprised.

"Well I didn't have my weapon and besides even if she is trying to murder my and everyone I know she still helped raise me when your father didn't."

"Our father and I know there is more to it then that."

"Fine, do you remember the other night when I had that nightmare?" Kid nodded. I continued. "She's is the one who gave me it and it wasn't the first time. That's why I never get close to anyone because I always feared that she would kill them. Of course I didn't know it was my mother until last night." 

"Aidan, that's terrible why didn't you tell anyone about this?"

"I didn't want to endanger anyone, besides she is a very powerful kishin and I heard she even knew Asura. It's no surprise I lost. Anyway why are you asking so many questions? It's not like you care."

"Aidan are you insane? You're my sister, of course I care. What did Jovie say?"

"Again with the questions! Wait, how did you know her name?"

"I was talking to our father about her after I explained what had happened."

"Oh, what did he say?"

"After he explained all I needed to know about her he left with Spirt to take her soul." I shot up in bed and shrieked as the pain shot through me causing absolute agony. Nygus came running in "Is everything okay?" she asked frantically. 

"Yeah it's fine she just tried to sit up and realized she shouldn't have." Kid answered for me. He put his hand on my shoulder and helped me slowly lie back down. After Nygus left I turned to Kid.

"What do you mean father went to take her soul?" I asked him.

"I mean exactly that. You are his daughter." I sighed as I admitted to myself that what Jovie told me was a lie. I looked around the infirmary as my worries took over my mind. I noticed the medicine in the medicine cabinet was perfectly symmetrical, I half smiled to myself.
