Chapter 23

                                Jaxon's POV
I put him down in the hospital bassinet then took off my shirt.

"Alright. Come here little dude."

I unwrapped him just a tiny bit. I walked over to the couch and laid down. I put Ace down on my chest so we could have some skin to skin time. I made sure, his blanket was still wrapped a little bit around him.

I moved his little hat to see if he has any hair.

She's got Lily's hair.

I put his hat back on. I decided to just look out the window.

"Wow. Your first rainstorm."

He started crying. I sat up.

"What's wrong?"

I checked his diaper and ended up needing to change it.

"There we go buddy."

Frostlily started waking up.

"There she is. Hi snowflake."

She slowly sat up while she rubbed her left eye.

"How'd you sleep?"

"Pretty decently. How's Acey?"

"He's okay. I just changed his diaper. He took a tiny nap."

I went up to her and handed Ace to her.

"Were you good for your daddy?"

"He was. Don't worry."

It was very...interesting when he started walking and talking.

"DADDAAAAA!"

I started looking around.

Where's my little shithead?

I heard little footsteps.

"DADDAAAAAAAA!

Ace started running up to me.

"Careful!"

I ran up to him and scooped him up before he fell. He started giggling.

"What's up?"

He wrapped his little arms around my neck.

"I wuv you!"

"I love you too. Where's mommy? Wait...aren't you supposed to be napping?"

"I waked up!"

"That's not the right word but it's adorable since you said it. Let's go find mommy."

"Ace woke up. I have him. Where are you?"

"Shit. I wasn't expecting him to wake up while I was in here. Fuck! I'm in the shower."

"Don't rush. I'll take care of him. Take your time. Relax."

"Ah. Mommy's in the shower. Wanna go play?"

"Yesth!"

"Alright. Let's go."

I started walking to the playroom. I sat down on the floor.

"Alright. What are we playing with?"

He literally started running around the room.

"Slow down little alpha!"

He grabbed a lot of his superhero toys. He ran back up to me. He dropped his toys in front of me then plopped down.

"Who can I play with?"

"Spidor Man."

"Close. That was pretty close. Wanna try again?"

"Yesth!"

"Okay. Try to say "Spider". So sp...id..er."

"S-S-Spid-spidor van!"

"Oh? So Spider Man is a van now?"

He started nodding.

Oh dear god...

He almost had it..

"Sp...id...er M...an."

"S-Spider Man!"

"Yes! There you go! Nice job! Can you say it again?"

"Spider Man! Spider Man! Spider Man!!"

"Atta boy! There we go!"

He got so proud of himself. Frostlily walked into the playroom. Ace saw her and jumped up.

"MAMAAAAAAAAA!"

He ran into her arms.

"Hi buddy!"

"He's very proud of himself."

"Oh?"

"Do you wanna tell mommy what you just learned how to say?"

Ace dragged Frostlily over to me. They sat down.

"What did you learn how to say?"

"Spider Man!"

"Oh my goodness! Look at you!"

"It went from "Spidor Man" to "Spidor Van"."

"Spidor Van?! That's a great one!"

Ace started giggling.

"You are so silly!"

"I silly?"

"Yes! You're very silly!"

His giggling got louder. He hopped into my lap.

"RAWR!"

"AH! You got me!"
