they were still in the car, parked at the library's parking lot.
"I like your hair down."
allison frowned and looked at him.
"well, I don't."
allison hesitantly took her hairtie, wanting to tie her hair back up again. she felt a tug on her wrist, making her stop.
"but I do."
harry smiled. allison raised one of her eyebrows and felt her hand dropping onto her lap.
"so you like my hair now?" allison teased.
"I like you." allison froze at his words and looked at him. harry was startled with his own words too, and she saw his cheeks turning a deep shade of red.
allison cleared her throat to speak but harry cut her off.
"well that was awkward. I'm sorry." harry laughed nervously.
"well, to shake it off a bit, I like you too harry."
both of them laughed simultaneously and that added to their laughter even more.
"its been a while since I've had fun, so thank you ally." harry said, without even looking at her.
allison smiled and pushed his shoulder slightly.
"it was my pleasure harry, i had fun too."
they soon found themselves getting lost in each other's eyes. nope, it wasn't like they did it on purpose. they just found clarity by looking at each other without needing to say anything.
action speaks louder than words anyways.
"do you think people who are dying deserve to be loved?" harry broke the moment, and diverted his gaze away. he took a breath before continuing.
"I mean, if someone knew when he or she would die, then why waste their time finding someone to love them? they'd end up leaving and breaking everybody's heart anyways. right?"
allison frowned. she quickly shook her head, making harry look up at her. that was when she noticed that his green eyes were shining - maybe wet from tears - making allison break a little inside.
"no harry. everyone deserves love, and they'll be needing it for every second of their life. no matter how much they have left."
allison watched as harry looked at her hesitantly.
she grabbed his hand and played with his fingers.
"love knows no limits. that, I am sure of."
harry grinned.
"god, you're cheesy."
allison playfully smacked his arm, but enough to earn a wince escaping his lips.
"says the boy who was crying." allison scoffed.
"hey, i wasn't!" harry whined and allison just snorted at his awful ways of lying.
"you know, I can't believe I'm saying this - but I'm glad you're my friend allison."
allison faked a gasp in surprise but was cut off by Harry again.
"even though you are definitely rude as ever."
allison scoffed and rolled her eyes.
"well I'm glad you approve of me mister."
harry laughed, and laid back in his seat to take a better glimpse of her.
"you have no idea allison."
allison giggled and harry smiled at how that sound never failed to calm him. he could listen to her giggle all day and he would be content enough.
"shit shit shit."
harry watched as allison was fixing herself before grabbing the door handle.
"I'll see you tomorrow alright? its already five and I need to be home."
harry just nodded in return and smiled, even though he wanted to be with her just a little bit longer.
allison was already a foot outside of the car, but found herself turning around and kissing harry on the cheek.
harry froze with the contact and tried his best to contain his excitement.
"see ya, don't wanna be yah." allison laughed before waving vigorously at him.
harry waved back before placing his hand on his burning cheek, and he found himself taking large breaths at the thought of allison.
god, she was making him feel alive again.
he was certain she was making him feel better, even if she didn't he would still die a happy man.
that was enough for him.
