"Fresh tomatoes here!" She heard as they walked in between the different stalls. A variety of fresh fruit and vegetables were on display. T smiled feeling Greg's hold on her hand tighten slightly as he didn't want to lose her in the chaos. Mostly women were buying fresh produce for their households.
"Tawananyasha, how are you!" She heard several people call out as she smiled responding back.
Buying several vegetables Gregory was surprised when some of the sellers would add extra vegetables for them after chatting with his wife.
"If it isn't the big shot lawyer herself," she heard making her turn around.
"Amos!" She screamed running to give him a hug. "Come meet my husband. Everytime I come here with my family you are always in the city on police business," she teased him.
"Forgive me," he simply said wearing a smile.
"Gregory meet my dear old friend. Amos. Locally known as baba Amos. This man here used to bully me when we were young until the day I beat him up. From then he would beat up anyone who bullied me," she laughed watching Amos's expression. "Amos this is my best friend. My husband. He is the one beating up my bullies now," she said.
"Pleasure to meet you Gregory. I hear there is trouble," he said turning to T.
"A few currently here and the others headed to our family home to be precise. I don't want them anywhere near my family," T said as Amos clasped his hands behind his back listening to her.
"That's not a problem. I will have the men patrolling around. The boys know what to do," he said. "I got wind of the ones headed to your house from the local herdsmen. I think your guests underestimated the fact that you are known around here. After all most of the farmers are indebted to you," he smiled making her smile.
"I see you are up to speed," she smiled as he nodded his head."Where is Shadow? I have a drinking bet which hasn't been fulfilled," he said as T chuckled just as Shadow walked up to them. "Man, have you lost weight or something!" He said looking at Shadow.
"Try working for the boss lady and see," Shadow said in a teasing manner.
"I know what you mean. I already lost a kilogram once I got her message," Amos teased making Greg chuckle as T gave them both a questioning look. "Don't even try it. You know it's true. I'm surprised Greg is still here with us," Amos teased.
"Trust me I do lose some weight here and there because of her," he said pulling her close. "But she feeds me to make up for the loss," he said resting his arm over her shoulder pulling her close to kiss her head.
"At least I'm keeping you boys on your toes," she muttered before leading the way to their car.
"Shadow maybe you can help Amos since you are here," she said as Shadow acknowledged the instructions knowing that was her way of telling him to have fun and somewhat relax.———
Relaxing in their living room T laughed as Greg teased her about beating people up in her youth.
"I only beat up Amos. I was a reserved individual. And I was easy to pick on because I was small," she said as he scoffed at her words.
"You? Reserved. Now that's an individual I would like to meet," he said as she grabbed a cushion straddling him as she playfully hit him with it.
"Take that back," she said laughing as he tickled her.
"We both know you are lying baby," he murmured laughing along with her.
The door swung open as their children walked into the house.
"Great there is a fire," Andrew commented removing his jacket as T caught her breath slowly settling down once more.
The light drizzle had lowered the temperatures. The twins joined their parents as Greg readjusted their sitting position.
Adjusting slightly as she sat between his legs leaning against his chest whilst they watched the movie he distracted her whispering into her ear as she smiled.
The twins flanked them just as T pulled the throw-over over them. Cindy not one to be left out went to join them making T smile as the older boys ended up joining them upon her insistence.
Her phone buzzed as she looked at the message smiling.Found your boys. Wear your dancing shoes.
The message read as she showed Greg. Sending her reply Greg watched as she typed wearing a smile.
A few minutes she saw several notifications before downloading the images that had been sent.
"What is he doing here?" Greg murmured looking at his brother.
"Looking for you I guess," T said. "I guess this makes your life easier," she said deleting the images as Greg nodded his head in agreement as she stood up.
"Cindy go with the boys to the main house," T said as Andrew looked at her in confusion.
"We want to come with you?" Derick said as Andrew nodded his head in agreement.
Looking towards Greg he gave a slight nod of approval.
