T
T sat up in bed having woken up from a nightmare. It was the same thing every night as she would be pinned down by Gregory as he cut off her air supply whilst she clawed at his arm seeing blood run down his arm as his grip tightened.
She had attended three therapy sessions with Gregory thus far but hadn't opened up about what was going on with her. Pulling her legs to her chest she saw Greg sitting by the desk, the desk light on as he went through some documents. Removing his glasses he looked in her direction placing them down as he watched her for a few seconds before getting up going towards her."Hey," He said tiredly as she looked towards him looking troubled as he sat before her. "Baby what's wrong?" He asked her seeing her face covered in sweat.
T looked at him beyond troubled.
"I think we should take a break," she said as Greg looked confused seeing that she was not joking.
"What are you talking about?" He asked trying to understand her words.
"I'm having nightmares. Maybe a change of environment could help," she said as he reached for her stopping when she flinched away from him looking frightened. "I know you want us to work on this together but, mind seems to think otherwise each night I lay down to sleep," she whispered.
He didn't say anything but simply nodded his head in understanding knowing forcing her to stay would not help her or them.
"I will take the twins with me. I don't want them giving you trouble," she said as he nodded his head knowing that at least with the children around she would be alright.
"You can stay at the penthouse," he said as she shook her head no.
"I will get another place," she said as he sighed knowing it was pointless to fight with her.
Leaning towards him she took his lips kissing him slowly before pulling back as he didn't say another word.
"Just give me time. I will talk to the therapist but maybe separately," she said looking worried before getting out of bed. Moving around quietly she left the house whilst the others slept.————
"Where is mama?" Cindy asked her father seeing him sitting at the dining table trying to have his breakfast.
"We are taking some time off," he said pushing his plate away as he folded his paper in half tossing it aside as he grabbed his blazer.
"I have to go to Tokyo for an urgent meeting," he said. "I might stop over in London on my way back," he said as the housekeeper walked down with his travel bags handing them over to Eli."Daddy what do you mean time off? Are you guys getting a divorce?" She asked worriedly.
"No. I will never let it come to that. Your mother and I need time to heal from the accident. She has the boys with her. Take care of your brothers princess" he said walking away to avoid any further questions he might not have the answers to.Andrew and Derrick heard his last words looking at her in confusion. Telling them their fathers words Derrick grabbed his phone calling T immediately.
"Hi Derrick," she answered the phone.
"You can't leave him or us. What about the twins?" He said sounding panicked a state none of his siblings had ever seen him in.
"Woah. Slow down," she said in a calm tone. "Why don't you guys come over to my apartment," she said before ending the call.A few minutes passed before she heard a knock on her door. She had taken the day off wanting to try get some rest.
Looking at the trio before her she smiled at them but not the usual smile they were used to. Before she could utter a word Cindy threw her arms around her.
"Did you guys fight or something? Is there anything we can do to fix this?" She asked as Andrew watched her every move trying to figure her out seeing the pain she tried to hide."You still love him," he murmured as she looked at him wide eyed.
"Of course," she said as he nodded his head. "I'm just going through some things. I should be alright in a couple of days," she said.
"Only if it's temporary," Derrick said.
"Daddy is submerging himself in work because of this," Cindy whispered looking concerned.
"And once he starts he changes," Derrick added.
"I'll call him before it gets too far," she said as she gave them a small smile.
"I'm staying here," Cindy announced as Andrew said the same whilst Derrick decided to go back home in case someone was needed at home.
"Guys," she sighed as they looked at her not budging.
Nodding her head she adjusted her sweater as she stood up to go get her phone.
