The day for the engagement finally came.
The engagement was taking place in the mehra mansion.
The hall was beautifully decorated.
Only family members were invited.
Prachi was dressed in a blue saree.
Her hair was decorated with roses.
She was looking like a beautiful princess.
Pragya: you look beautiful sweetheart.
She said as she help prachi put on her necklace.

In Ranbir's room, he is also dressed in blue suit.
He was thinking about how his life will become. He was getting engaged at the nine years of his life. Well he was doing it for his parents.
His little brain couldn't handle so much thinking,so he started having headache.
Ranbir: ouch!
He drank a glass of water.
Ranbir: this suit is not comfortable. I wonder how grown up wear this everyday. I feel like a wrapped gift.
He said adjusting his suit.
Just then his dad came in.
Vikram: let's go Ranbir, prachi is downstairs.
Ranbir leaves with his father.

Downstairs, Ranbir and prachi are on the stage facing each other with a ring in their hand.
Pallavi: now Ranbir put the ring on prachi's finger.
Ranbir did as his mother said.
Pragya: prachi, you also put the ring on Ranbir's finger.
Prachi also did the same.
The audience present clapped for them.
They congratulated pranbir who gave a fake smile.
"Who will congratulate nine years old children who just got engaged" was their thought.
Ranbir's and prachi's grandmas hugged pranbir.
Dadi: may you both be blessed. I was happy when pallavi told me about the alliance. I am happy to have prachi in the family.
Dasi: I am also happy. My granddaughter is going getting married into a good family.
Dadi: this will secure the bond of our families.

Dasi: you two will make a good couple when you are much older.

The drummers play the drums and everyone danced to it.
Prachi and Ranbir escaped from the event to avoid people from disturbing or congratulating them any further.

They both left the party to the garden.
Ranbir:it's crazy in there.
Prachi: grandma was engaged at three, what a small age.
Ranbir: I know, it was funny listening to her say that.
Prachi:have you become friends with Rhea?
Ranbir: she is just avoiding me
Prachi: she doesn't like you.
Ranbir: I know but I will try to make her fall in love with me. I am charming.
Prachi: charming baklu.
They giggled.
Ranbir: you are leaving tomorrow right.
Prachi: yes dad really need to be at London.
Ranbir: I will miss you.
Prachi: now you will have noone to share your things with.
Ranbir: I can't share my things with anyone but I don't mind sharing it with you. I am missing you already.
Prachi: so will I but we can make call and send messages.
Ranbir: I will always call you and keep you updated.
Ranbir hugs prachi.
Pragya: prachi!!
Prachi:my mom is calling me. I will see you later.
She broke the hug and left.
Ranbir will really miss prachi.
She is his best friend.
She is his chikchik.
He shake the sad feeling away and went inside to enjoy the party with his father.

The next day,the day for the mehra's departure.
Prachi went to school with Ranbir before her flight by 6pm in the evening.
It was lunch time. Ranbir and prachi are sitting in a bench sharing lunch together.
Ranbir: today I will be by your side only.
Prachi: balku aren't you going to go after Rhea?
Ranbir: I will be with Rhea later but for now I am with you. You are my best friend and you are leaving today.
Prachi: I finally got my tooth removed.
Showing Ranbir the tooth hole in her mouth.
Ranbir: you look funny.
Prachi: the dentist didn't eat my tooth.
Ranbir: what did he do to it?
Prachi: he gave it to me to take home.
Ranbir: that means he is not a teeth eating dentist.
Prachi: mom pack some chocolates for u and I. She said we should share them equal.
Ranbir beams with joy.
Ranbir: I am going to miss aunt and uncle.
Prachi: even I am going to miss your parents too and your grandma.
Ranbir looks at the ring on prachi's finger.
Ranbir:aunt and uncle told you not to ever remove the ring.
Prachi: yes, they were so worried about me losing the ring.
Rhea comes there.
Rhea: hi baklu.
Ranbir: hi Rhea, come sit with us.
Rhea: actually,I don't like to sit with baklu and chikchik.
She smirks as she went to sit with her friends.
Prachi: that girl is so rude. I don't like her.
Ranbir: hey don't insult my girlfriend.
Prachi: the girlfriend that doesn't like you.
Ranbir: am not sitting with you.
He stands to leave.
Prachi: I am not sharing my chocolate with you.
Ranbir: hey why are you like this? I am not going anywhere. Just give me some chocolates please.
He pleaded showing prachi his puppy eyes.
Prachi: ok fine. You have two and I will take five.
Ranbir: what! Cheat. Aunt said we should share it equal.
Prachi: but you were angry and angry boys don't eat much chocolate.
Ranbir: I am not angry anymore.
He sits besides prachi.
Prachi: I am not giving you my chocolate.
Ranbir: please nahhhh i love you.
Prachi: ok fine I will give the chocolates just because you begged for it.
She gave him three chocolate bars.
Ranbir: thank you.
His eyes beams with joy as he accepted the chocolates.
He opened a bar and ate it.
Ranbir: you are the best chikchik.

The bell rings.
Prachi: lunch time is over. Let's go to the class.
Greedy Ranbir feasted on the chocolates as he slowly made his way to the class with messy face and hands.
