Scenario and request from Dragonsw-who I can tell would have had fun watching me squirm looking through comic Starfire in public for appearance research. Also looking through an entire Wiki for one villain-

I've been struggling to write oneshots and this is the last request I'm accepting until later notice. If you do message me a request, I will read it but I will not respond. If you spam me, I will block you and mute you. You've been warned. This person was just lucky I had some motivation to actually write this.

Oh yeah, reader has the more family friendly ice powers/abilities of Sub Zero from Mortal Kombat and is an SFS.

Starfire watches the city below us on the building we've just landed on. I don't see any real danger around, as far as I know.

"Doesn't look like anything's happening," I say. Starfire, not as focused as she usually is, looks over at me, confused. "How about we... We should... Uhh..."

"Go on a date?"

"Yeah."

She glanced over at the city again. I don't know if she's considering her options or actually thinking that the city will be fine for one night. Her curly ginger hair flows calmly in the wind, as enchanting as the being right in front of me now.

"Alright. We can go on a date," she says. I smile at her. It'd be a nice break from those villains we've been fighting lately. "Just not anywhere odd."

"What's odd about an all-you-can-eat buffet?" I ask. We laugh. "Don't worry, we're going somewhere new."

Starfire doesn't respond.

She looks at me with that look she gives me when it sounds like I'm just going to bring her to an Italian all you can eat buffet.

"C'mon, I'll show you."

I take her hand and she flies us away from the building. I give her directions to the city mall, and we land in the parking lot. I show her in and go straight to a pretty nice coffee shop. Only one other customer is in front of us, but we have time to have a conversation.

Or play the game we always play when waiting for something.

"What's your favorite ice cream?" I ask.

"Raspberry and vanilla," she says. We get our orders in and sit down to wait. "What's your favorite game?"

"Mortal Kombat," I reply. "What's your favorite tree?"

She hums. "Great oak. If you were trapped on an island, what would you bring?"

"A water filter, a lighter, and a sword," I say. "All right, what is your favorite flow-"

The waitress calls for our drinks, right before an explosion beneath us interrupts her. Screaming and shouting makes me more disoriented than I already am, and I look around in search of Starfire. She's lying on the floor right in front of the counter. She saved the waitress, but they both look bruised.

I jump down the hole and look for the culprit. Who would follow us so obsessively to the point where it's the coffee shop's fault?

"Robin! (Y/N)!"

"Starfire!" I shout. Right behind Starfire is Slade. And right behind me is no one.

Why did she call out for Robin as well?

I can feel my anger bubbling up, and Slade's glare burning into my head. If he had his mask off, I would probably see a smile. Also, an easier target for some punches in the face.

He laughs. "This one... is so annoying. I don't know why you're still with him."

I glare at Slade. He just disrupted a perfectly good date with Starfire. He's gonna pay.

He throws Starfire away from view and dives down into the destroyed coffee shop with me. I run straight at him and try to hit him.

Key word: try.

He just keeps dodging out of the way and running straight behind me. I'm actually getting beaten up like I'm some kid!

"Stop moving!" I yell at him.

But he doesn't. He just keeps going faster. And I can barely see him!

"(Y/N)!" Starfire shouts, and she throws my ice sword at me.

I catch it in my hand and I run at Slade. He doesn't move, too enwrapped in how handsome I am to move, and I sta

"(Y/N)," Mom says. I don't look at her, my eyes glued to my computer. I feel a tap on my shoulder and I turn around. For the first time in a while, I look at my mom and my room. Mostly my room.

Damn, that's a nice Starfire collection. All complete with the Starfire limited-time body pillow from Hot Topic. I remember stealing it back when I was fit. I still am! I just need a few days of exercise, and I'll be fine. Meh, I'll do it tomorrow.

"It's been a while since you've been out of the basement, (Y/N), and your father and I have been talking-"

Yadda. Yadda. Yadda.

"Yeah, Mom, let me get back to my fanfic," I reply.

"Oh. O-okay, dear," Mom says. And she turns tail and walks out of my room.

I turn right back to my computer, looking at the Starfire plushies on the shelf above me. I've been counting on Mom to clean them, but I guess she hasn't gotten around it yet.

I place my moldy Cheeto-dusted fingers over my keyboard, and I type again.
