KJ and Renée's shared penthouse
"Hollon granny dang why you gotta cuss me out before I can even greet you" KJ fussed over the phone with her grandmother. I sat on the couch as I watched her pace back and forth while trying to calm her grandmother down.
"Granny I told you I was sorry. You know how demanding work is" she sighed. She was quiet for a second before nodding her head, "okay granny. I'll tell her. Either me and her fly out there or I can fly you down here. Which one?" She asked. She sat on the couch next to me and gave me a small smile. I flipped my legs over hers straddling her lap. I leaned down and kissed her lips a few times before kissing down her neck.
I can feel her breath hitching while she tried to pay attention to whatever her Grandmother was speaking about. Her free hand gripped my ass as she responded to her grandmother. "Yeah Tuesday is fine granny. I'll have the house together and the guest room together" she said. She grabbed my chin to force me to look up at her then wrapped her hand around my neck to bring my into a fiery kiss. Our lips danced before she pushed her tongue into my mouth. I allowed her to explore until she pulled back to get back to the conversation.
"Yeah granny I hear you. I need to get back to work. I'll call you on Sunday to finalize everything" she said. She kept eye contact with me as she stared at my swollen lips and kept her hand around my throat. "Yeah I love you too G...okay I'll call you later" she said and hung up. Setting her phone on the table, she pulled me back into the kiss. I placed my hands on her shoulder and kissed her back with the same passion.
"You always tryna start sum" she mumbled when we let go of the kiss. I giggled, "I'm not even doing anything" I told her. Her hands traveled up and down my body as we held eye contact. She was about to open her mouth until her phone started to ring. I reached over to grab it from the table and handed it to her. "Hello?" She asked. It was quite on our end for a second. "The fuck you mean?" She sat up a bit. She tapped my thighs telling my to get off which I did and stood up. "How many did you see" she asked. I watched as she went into the drawer and grabbed a gun and slid it into her pants.
She walked over to me, "put some shoes on" she whispered to me as she slid on a hoodie. "Ight, imma get em. Stay hidden ion need shit to pop off since my girl and sis gon be with us" she said and grabbed my hand, pulling me out the house into her car. She opened the passenger door and shut it once I got in and got into the driver position. "I'm on my way and keep the truck out of fuckin sight" she seethed as she hung up the phone.
I looked at her, "baby what's going on? And why the hell do you have a gun?" I asked. She sighed. "Mamas imma answer all your questions once we get Halle. Do me a favor and call ya pops" she told me. I was confused nonetheless but did what she told me to do.
I dialed his number. "Hello?" He asked. "Mr. Carter, I need you make sure everybody stays inside of the house. I'm rey go get Halle" she said. "What's happening KJ, is Halle in trouble?" He asked rushed. "I'm not sure but I'm on my way to get her. I'll let you know when I got her I need to call someone" she told him. "Ight, do you need any of my boys to come down with you?" He asked her. "Nah I have my guys down there already" she told him. They ended the conversation and hung up the call while KJ pulled the car up at the bowling alley where Halle was having her date.
"Text Halle and tell her to come outside" she said. She pulled out her phone and started to text someone while I texted Halle. I was scared because I didn't know what was going on and my little sister was possibly in trouble. I looked up when I saw Halle come outside with Darryl next to her. KJ stepped out of the car and walked around my side and leaned against the hood.
Darryl looked at her and gripped Halle's arm when he saw KJ sitting there. "How many you got?" KJ questioned. He looked at her with a slight smirk and pulled out a gun before aiming it at Halle's head. "That don't matter. Just know the business Tito needed to handle is done" he said, squeezing his hand on the trigger. I watched frightened as Halle tried to move from his grasp with tears rolling down her face. "Let her go nigga" she gritted. She took a step forward as a bullet noise ranged in the air.
Halle screamed as we saw men with pistols start to filter out of the alleyway. I watched as KJ raised her gun and quickly shot Darryl in his shoulder as some guys hurried over and covered Halle once bullets started to fire. KJ shot back and helped the man with Halle. When she was safely in the back seat, KJ turned around just as a bullet was shot, hitting her in her stomach. She fell to the ground with a thud.
"AKIRA!" Halle and I screamed at the same time. Bodies started to drop like flies once the bullets stopped ringing. I was about to get out and help her until a guy hopped in the driver seat and two other guys helped KJ. One was putting pressure on her wound while the other held her arms up. One poked his head through the window and spoke to the one in the drivers seat.
"She still got a pulse. She lost a lot of blood. We're we taking her Rico?" They asked him. "Take her to the house. Imma call Mickey so he can stitch her up. I gotta take them to Mr. Carter" he said, tilting his head to us. "Who are you? W- is KJ gonna be okay?" Halle asked. Rico looked back at her as he started the car. "I work for KJ. My name is Rico and she will be fine. Some of our guys are gonna take her to see a doctor who's gonna stitch her up" he told us. I watched with watery eyes as the guys put KJ in the back of the van and drive off.
Rico also started to pull of but in a separate direction of the van, taking Halle and I to my parents house.
