Chapter 46 Sexual Healing

We went upstairs to Illia's rooms. She had her own sitting room that she'd turned into a makeshift library. Books covered every surface but the couch and a small desk. Had she read all these? I picked one up and realized it was a book about lightning magic. Interesting. I popped it into my inventory and back out again without Crue noticing.

I followed him into another room. This must have been her bedroom. She had a pile of her adventuring gear stacked on top of a chest in the corner and she had a large standing wardrobe along the far wall. There was a night stand that was also stacked with books, but other than her bed and a rug the room didn't feel as full as her sitting room.

Crue moved the books off the nightstand and onto the floor. Then he pulled a box out of his bag and placed it on the nightstand.

"What's that?" I asked him, looking over his shoulder while he opened it.

"Massage oils, incense, some contraceptives, and a few sexual aids," he pulled the bottom tray to show me it was double layered. Then he pulled out what looked like a small metal butterfly that was the size of a duck egg.

"Hold out your hand," he instructed. He placed it in my hand then tapped it with his finger. The butterfly began to vibrate.

"It's useful in many ways." He gripped it with each wing going between his fingers and ran the vibrating butterfly up and down my arm. "It can be used in traditional massage, but can double as a female stimulator."

"I sort of figured that out when it started vibrating." Crue touched the butterfly again and it stopped vibrating. He placed it back in his box.

"You, um," he glanced back to see if Illia was around. "You have these where you're from?"

"There's an entire industry based on nothing but things like that. I've never seen a metal butterfly before, so that's new. Does it work mechanically or with magic?"

"Magic. These are a bit expensive since it requires both a degree of mechanical engineering and a magic stone to work. However, they aren't exactly rare. You can find them just about anywhere if you know where to look. I like this one because it's small enough to fit into the box. Most of them are a lot bigger because they have to hold the mechanical parts as well as the stone.

"Are you sensitive to incense?" He asked.

"No, not really, as long as it isn't lavender. It gives me headaches."

"It's not lavender," he set up a small cone of pressed plants onto a small metal disk. Then he lit it. Small tendrils of smoke curled up into the air.

It smelled faintly skunky. Not the pleasant scent of patchouli that I was expecting. Hadn't I smelled something like this before?

Illia walked into the room before I could place the smell. She was wearing a fluffy yellow robe that covered her from neck to ankle.

"We should probably move the bed out from the wall so you can stand on the other side," Crue commented. He grabbed one end and I took the other and we slid the bed so that it was more in the center of the room. It didn't leave Crue a lot of room on his side with the night stand and the wardrobe but everyone managed.

Illia sat down on the bed and slid the top of the robe down a bit. Then she laid down on her stomach and pulled her arms out of both sleeves. Crue helped her pull the robe down to her waist exposing her bare back.

"This is orange oil," he held up a bottle for me to look at. "Nothing fancy to it but the smell."

"I prefer it over the rosemary and lemon," Illia added, turning her head to the side so she could watch Crue work.
