A night out

Noah rolled his eyes at the mere mention of a party. He despised social gatherings and the people who enjoyed them. It was loud and obnoxious, which was the exact opposite of his vibe. He had told Cody, his roommate, countless times to stop dragging him to these things, but his requests fell on deaf ears.

Cody, on the other hand, was filled with excitement. He was looking forward to meeting new people and dancing the night away. He couldn't understand why Noah always resisted his invites, but he was determined to have a good time, even if it meant forcing Noah into having one too.

...
'You ready gap?' Noah asked when Cody showed up at the front door while Noah was patiently waiting for Cody.
Cody nodded and waddled after Noah to the car.

Once they got in the car, (Noah was driving of course) they rambled about video games, books, the party and some other interests they shared.

Noah and Cody arrived at the party together after Noah was once again coaxed into it by his enthusiastic roommate.

It was nothing like Cody described, Noah thought, turning up his nose with distaste as music thump thumped from somewhere in the house.

"See? Isn't it fun?" Cody asked, enthusiastically.

"Hardly," Noah replied, crossing his arms in front of him. He couldn't understand how people found this enjoyable. A party filled with sweaty people and deafening music? Gross.

'Come on mister grumpy pants! Let's say hi to everyone!' Cody said while grabbing Noah's arm and taking him to some of the ex contestants sitting on the floor, playing a game.

They both sat down and greeted their old friends.

'Heya dudes! I'm so happy you both could make it to the party! Especially you Noah, How did you even manage to get him to join Cody?'

Cody laughed at Geoff instead of answering and asked him a question instead: 'what are you guys playing??'

'Truth or dare' you guys want to play as well?
Cody agreed and managed to get Noah to play too.

'Okay so.. who's turn was it?' Bridgette asks looking at the crowd, waiting for anyone to answer her question.
Heather raised her hand and answered 'I'll go, and since Noah and Cody just joined I'll ask... Cody. Truth or dare.'

The geek did not hesitate to answer and immediately said dare. 'I'm not a boring guy of course! He said while he finger gunned at everyone.
Noah rolled his eyes at Cody's comment and decided to not make a a sarcastic remark.'

'Very well, I dare you to drink that.' Heather points at a self made alcoholic drink that no one has touched yet.

'EASY PEASY!' Cody smiles showing his tooth gap, and walks towards the drinks, picking out the weird alcoholic drink.

As the game progressed and the drinks kept flowing, however, Noah began to notice that Cody was getting more and more intoxicated. His speech became slurred, his balance was affected, and his demeanor was visibly shifting. As Noah's concern for Cody grew, he found himself contemplating whether to step in or let things play out.

He then decided it would be better to leave the party, not for him, but for Cody. He told Geoff about it and Geoff totally understood him. Cody and Noah left even tho Cody hesitated completely.

'Noah! I don't want to leave yet!! The party was getting cooool!' 'Please babe!!'

Noah raised his eyebrow at Cody, Cody calling Noah Babe was clearly something he was not used to.
'Damn how much alcohol did they put in that mystery drink codemeister?' He said, patting Cody on the head.

Noah leaded Cody to the car and they both got in. The moment Cody sat in the car he fell asleep.

Noah chuckled and put his jacket over Cody, to make him more comfortable.
