The faults in Byun Baekhyun

Chapter 9: I'm 20 years old, not an adult!

Chanyeol wakes up knowing he's fucked up real bad.

His face hurts all over and his head is still throbbing. When he gets up, he groans, keeping his eyes shut because if he opens them his face might split open. He feels gentle arms holding him as he sits up.

"Are you all right?" A soft, velvety voice fills Chanyeol's ears before he opens his eyes , and when he does, Kyungsoo's (cute) worried face hovers into view, so close that Chanyeol reddens automatically and leans back unconsciously.

"I'm ... fine ..." Chanyeol replies, clutching at his bandaged cheek. "What happened ...?"

"You had a huge fight with some guy, apparently ... I wasn't here for most of it ..." Kyungsoo trails off, but Chanyeol can feel himself groaning already from the embarrassment of what had happened earlier.

"What ... exactly happened?" The younger asks, eyes wide, and Chanyeol hears the question of Baekhyun in the air almost as loudly as if Kyungsoo had screamed them.

"He ... That guy was being ... he was forcing Baekhyun to do something he didn't want to do ... taking advantage of him ... and I ..." Chanyeol stops, suddenly realising he's just told Kyungsoo something absurd and absolutely too true. Now Kyungsoo is going to think his soulmate is Baekhyun and that they're meant for each other and the fact that Chanyeol had been acting just like a overprotective boyfriend or something and Kyungsoo will probably say they look amazing together and –

"You're such a good friend." Kyungsoo says, snapping Chanyeol out of his ridiculous thoughts. When he focuses on Kyungsoo's face, he sees the little one smiling. Chanyeol gulps.

"It's ... nothing, really ..." Suddenly Chanyeol feels embarrassed, and he rubs his head sheepishly.

"Speaking of that lose– Uh, Baekhyun, where is he?" The memories of the events from before Chanyeol had blacked out enter his mind once again, and if his memory is correct, Baekhyun had also been 'dragged' to the nurse, so he should be resting along with him.

"He went off somewhere." Kyungsoo shrugs. "Guess he hates sitting around."

"But his injuries ..." Chanyeol trails off when he realises just what he's doing. I don't care about him! Why am I even asking?

Why am I even thinking about him when Kyungsoo's right in front of me?

"Oh. They said his injuries are nothing." Kyungsoo replies shortly, as if he's suddenly annoyed about something. "Just a state of shock, or something."

That's not true! Chanyeol wants to exclaim, because fuck, if anything, Baekhyun has more injuries than 'just a state of shock', and definitely more than his and that son of a bitch's combined. Why the hell is he even up and around? For fuck's sake, he's supposed to be resting and taking a few days off class! Chanyeol has seen those injuries, and that asshole had inflicted more injuries ...

Chanyeol feels anger rising within him upon remembering the way that disgusting man had bitten Baekhyun's collarbones ...

"But I don't know what Baekhyun's condition really is." Kyungsoo continues. "Chen and Kris just dragged him off somewhere instead of to the nurse and said he was fine ..."

Probably wanting to hide his true injuries to not cause a hype ... Chanyeol muses to himself, then starts getting up, wanting to find that Byun fucking Baekhyun and drag him back to bed. Seriously, fisting as well as fucking at the same time? Disgusting. Especially disgusting since he had seen how bruised Baekhyun's backside was.

But before Chanyeol can get out of his bed, Kyungsoo pushes him back down.

"Rest for the rest of the day." Kyungsoo insists, "After all, there're no more classes for the day and it's your birthday anyway." The taller's not convinced because he only needs around 10 minutes to find that roaming roommate of his and get his ass back in bed, but Kyungsoo's fingers press harder on his shoulders until he has no choice but to lean back a bit.
