7 : AS ONE FOR BUSAN

For the rest of the week, everything has been going pretty well and handy at work for me. No mass casualties. No major surgeries. Not even crazy ass patients I have to endure seeing for the rest of their stay in the hospital.

I am so happy -- so happy that even when Friday morning has come and there's a new delivery for me from a certain Kim Taehyung, I gladly accept it with a huge smile on my face as I signed off the form without throwing a fuss. My smile has possibly gotten even bigger when I have checked it and found out he has sent me a small clay pot of mini jasmine shrub along with a little card that says, "Have a great day at work and weekend, Jinnie! - Taehyung ♡"

I sit on my chair and put the potted plant on top my desk with a grin while I stash the card inside my drawer.

"Hey, doc?" Sohee whispers as she comes forward, leaning on my desk.

"Yes?" I reply, still grinning when I look up at her.

"You like that?" she asks, pointing at the jasmines with her lips. "Let me have it if you seriously don't want it. I like jasmines."

I narrow my eyes at her. "I won't put it on display if I don't want it. I love it, so leave my jasmines alone."

"Oh, my gosh. Chill. I was just asking!" Sohee suddenly laughs out loud.

Keeno, the neuro intern, leans also on my desk with a cup of coffee in his hand. "Is that from the same person who sent you those forget-me-nots?"

The doors suddenly open and in walks Jongsuk, allowing me not to answer Keeno's question. He immediately goes straight to me and leans on my desk as well. What is it with these people wanting to lean on my desk today?

"Don't forget. We're going to pick up our suits later for tomorrow's event, okay?" he reminds me.

"Yeah."

"You still haven't found a date yet?"

I stare at Keeno who immediately raises both of his hands. "I already have a date. My boyfriend's home this weekend."

I look back at Jongsuk with a bored expression. "That answers your question. Nope. I don't have a date tomorrow. I don't think I need to bring a date with me, do I?"

"Good luck then," Jongsuk responds as he turns on his heels to leave.

I frown at his retreating back. "Yah! What do you mean good luck?!"

But he has already bolted out of the doors.

Tonight is the annual As One For Busan charity event hosted by the Lee family, the major holder of the hospital where I'm working and other tons of hospitals around Korea, aka Jongsuk's family. I am wearing a custom-designed tailored suit made by a local fashion designer -- the one Jongsuk and I picked up at the atelier yesterday along with his own custom-made suit. I paired it with my black Italian shoes and A.P. watch which I bought with my hard-earned money.
