Chapter 3

After a night of restless sleep, I got up and went downstairs. I ate a quick breakfast and decided to let some steam off. Which meant go to the gym. I just hoped that she was not there. I was just about to head out when Jake stopped me.

"Hey I think I'm going to go with you today."

"Why you never want to go to the gym?" Which is true he was always with Lily.

"Well I have nothing to do and I figured we could talk about your phone call yesterday". Jake said as he raised an eyebrow.

"There is nothing to talk about, I'm leaving now so lets go."

"Just be careful around Alex." He paused for a second. "So Kenzie. She seems cool. I wonder what her sister is like."

Jake just had to bring up 'her' I was waiting in the car and gripping the steering wheel tight enough my knuckles went white. If that wasn't bad enough he kept talking about her. He even said mother thought she was a doll, blah blah blah!

"Can you stop talking about her, you have Lily. So just shut up."

"Well Lily broke up with me at Nessa's party." Jake said.

"Oh sorry, but that doesn't mean talk about the 1st girl you lay eyes on."

"You like her don't you?"

"What, no. I just have a lot going on. The upcoming fight, Alex, and she would be another distraction. I mean she is not as hell, but she seems to uptight like you."

"Whatever you say bro!"

I was glad to see the gym at that point because I really needed a release. Either the gym would help or Jasmine would, if you know what I mean. When I pulled into my spot I noticed the old silver bug next to it.

"Great my day keeps getting better and better"

"Why you say that?"

"Never mind lets go."

We walked into the gym. Jake went to do what he does. I ran some laps, then went to my side of the gym away from Jake or so I thought. As soon as I walked in I saw her. She was talking to her friend and Jake. Great I was about to get in the ring when I noticed Chris and Jasmine. So I walked over there. Jasmine turned around and that's when I noticed she had a black eye and a bruised cheek.

"What the hell happened?" I said as I pulled her close.

I examined her face and my hand skimmed over the bruise on her cheek. I noticed Kenzie out of the corner of my eye, she looked pissed.

"It's nothing Jessie, it happened in the ring yesterday. The new girl Kenzie is tuff." Jasmine said.

"Yeah didn't you watch them spar yesterday. That girl would put up a fight against you my man." Chris added in.

"Why don't you put some ice on that before it gets worse. Chris and I are going to spar since we didn't yesterday, and I have a lot on my chest so it's going to be fun."

I walked away and Jasmine smacked my butt, earning a glare from the other girls. I climbed into the ring and took my shirt off throwing it to the floor. Chris climbed in looking scared. Soon we had a audience. Kenzie being one. I looked at Chris and smirked.

"You ready for this?"

"No not really, when you have stuff to get off your chest I would rather you use the punching bag and not me." He said causing the people who knew me to laugh.
