Wiggling her body wrapped up with layers of bed covers she managed to roll herself till the edge of the bed—surprising not falling off.

With a swift movement of her head—left and right— she removed the edge of the bed cover blocking her view. She was enveloped comfortable with about three bed covers creating a little cocoon for herself.

She hadn’t been feeling well earlier—the stomach cramps hadn’t stopped with the painkillers she took, it was unbearable—well that was about an hour ago, she felt so much better.

From the warm soup Avra prepared for her, the addition of two covers once she mumbled ‘I’m cold’ and now the music Avra had generously started playing for her, from the guitar.

That’s why she wiggled herself to the edge of the bee to get a clearer view.

Avra started off strong—mainly because she had memorized that part the past week—it was a slow and steady, each time she hit the right note she smiled.

Her fingers brushed against the strings perfectly until the agonising high pitched note overlapped the perfect chord—she cursed gripping the guitar harder, why couldn’t she get past it.

Trying it all over again she still didn’t hit it right—it was frustrating to her, she wanted to be sweet and romantic but she really couldn’t finish the song right—embarrassing.

Sheen sort of let out a giggle, for herself to hear, sure Avra’s musical session had become a rant belittling herself—the crease on her forehead, narrowed eyes and slow whispers was cute to watch.

Avra was pleasing to watch.

“How long have you been taking lessons?” Sheen asked pulling her out of her head.

Avra did immediately snap back from her thoughts—at first she knew Sheen was around and playing it for her but once that note didn’t hit right, it was just her lecturing herself on how she should be able make the note now.

“Two week and I’m still not rock n roll ready.” she pouted staring at the guitar on her lap—fluent with musical notes one hand the next vacantly just laying there, no sound at all.

“Well it does take time.” Sheen tried to motivate her, a bright smile on her face with persistence for her to try on further.

Avra did not have anymore try left in her today or maybe in the long run as well. “Well I’m gonna give up.” she stated staring up at Sheen, she was smiling of course but it was sad.

Both of them knew how much Avra really wanted to learn how to properly play the guitar, to hit each chord just right—talk with music from her guitar but maybe some dreams were just meant to be dreams?

Sheen vigorously shook her head not liking it one bit. “Come on don’t be like that—you said you did want to learn to play the guitar since she were eighteen and bought that guitar.”

She saved up for a couple of months to afford that—and to just give up like that despite all that hard work was a waste.

A habit took nearly twenty one days to form and a few months for it to become a lifestyle—learning a new skill was never a waste to learn and place effort.

“Eight years later still can’t play it.” Avra shrugged place the guitar down right beside the left of the chair she sat on—in it’s black case.

“You had some chords right—you just need some more practice and hitting each note will be easy.”

Just as simple as imagining playing the guitar—soon it would pass into reality.

“In the next two weeks if I can’t get it right I’ll give up, deal?”

Avra must have been crazy to believe Sheen would agree to that at all—sure she was going to keep trying, improving, she liked that don’t get it twisted—but she did not want her to give up even after that time frame succeeded with improvement, Avra never gave her the chance to give up—what did she think Sheen had for her.

“Not agreeing to that.” she stated with wink afterwards. Untangling her feet first then the rest of her body she sat up. “Come here.” she spoke patting the spot beside her.

Following suit as she always did, Avra laid down resting her head on Sheen’s lap.

Caressing the outline of her face resting on her lap she smiled down at Avra just before placing a peck on her cheek then her lips. Her thumb gazed her lower lip for a second before her hand resided on her cheek.

She loved staring into Avra’s eyes not talking at all just admiring the present— reminiscing each time she felt herself fall for her, the gestures and love.

“You are going to great at playing the guitar and then you can serenade me.” she smiled.

Caressing her cheek she watched as Avra placed her hand over hers supporting her upper body off the bed with left hand, she placed a kiss on her lips.

Slow tender kisses enveloping them in love.
