Chapter 60- goodbye old office

I walk down the hallway away from Joel's office and into my own. I open the door and see Alexis stood there. "Fuck me finally" she exclaims. I sigh. "You make it sound like we had arranged to meet here" I say. She sighs. She turns round to face me. "Listen" she says. I chuckle and she looks at me confused. "Your gonna tell me you and Meg are a thing and that you've moved on" I say. She raises an eyebrow at me. "How the fuck did you know" she says. I chuckle lightly and smile at her. "I was in the elevator with a very flustered Meg, who was coming back from your floor and since Gemma was in the lift with me and she's married I put 2 and 2 together" I say. She chuckles. "Fair enough" she says. I nod my head.

"Can we just be friends?" She says. I chuckle. "Yeah sure although I won't be here for much longer" I say. She looks at me perplexed. I chuckle "I'm leaving to work with my dad again" I say. Alexis nods her head. "So when do you go?" She says. I smile. "Well the office building will be done next month so soon ish" I say. She nods her head and hugs me. "Staff night out tonight you and Rachel should come" she says. I chuckle and nod my head. "Maybe I'll come along but uh good luck with Meg" I say. Alexis looks at me. I chuckle. "Thank you" she whispers. I nod my head and watch her go.

I sit down and pull out my mobile. I phone my dad. "Hey uh can we meet for lunch?" I ask him. He chuckles. "Of course tell me where" he says. I chuckle "well there's a carvery in the edge of town" I say. He chuckles and agrees to meet me there. I out the phone down and decide to call Rachel. "Hey babe" I say when she kicks up the phone. I hear her giggle. "Babe your calling me at work" she says. I chuckle lightly and tell her that I'm gonna take the job with my dad. She giggles. "Don't go getting to busy on me now babe" she says. I chuckle. "I promise I won't anyway I best go I'm gonna go and meet dad for lunch" I say.

I head to Joel's office. "That's me gone if Meg wants to move into my office" I say to him. He nods his head. "Good luck reg" he says. I nod my head and leave the office for the last time. I reach my car and then hear "REG" I turn around and see Gemma, Alexis and Meg run over. The three of them bombard me with a big hug. "You really thought you could get away without saying goodbye huh" Gemma says. I chuckle and wrap my arms around the 3 of them. "Didn't want to make you guys cry" I say. I feel my shirt get wet. "See someone's crying already" I say. Eventually they let me go. "Good luck" Meg says. I smile at her. "Good luck to fucking you lot without me" I say. They giggle and head back to the office. Alexis then runs back. "Don't forget tonight " she says. I chuckle and walk to my car.
