Todd?

Julia

I stared at the guy in front of me for a while. Wow, Todd. I haven't seen him in years, he looks so different now. His baby face turned mature, he grew taller, he's more lean, and he is still handsome as ever.

But he is nothing compared to Niall.

Wait, why am I comparing them again?

"Julia, wow." Todd was the first one to break the silence. "Ang tagal na nating di nagkita." He said, staring at me. He looks surprised and confused at my appearance.

"Yeah..." I nervously bit my lip. Gosh, this is so awkward. "Tagal tagal na rin..." I trailed off, not knowing what to say next.

I mean, it's a surprise seeing him but I wasn't too happy seeing him either. It's just plain weird and awkward. He opened his mouth to say something until someone barged into the room.

"Julia!"

Mom beamed looking happy as ever to see me again. I sighed and smiled happily at her she engulfed me in an embrace. God I missed her. Not only that, the awkward tension in the room is finally broken.

"Ma." I grinned into the hug.

"Aba, lumaki ka na." Ma said, as she examined me.

I giggled. "Ma OA ah, isang linggo lang ang lumipas."

I completely forgot about Todd being in the room until I saw him watching us with a small smile on his face.

"Uh." I coughed, trying to send mom the message.

"Oh." Mom reacted, quickly acknowledging Todd. "Todd pasensiya na, alam mo naman matagal tagal ko na ring hindi nakita tong si Julia." Mom explained as I smiled awkwardly.

"No no, okay lang po tita. I understand." He sent her a reassuring smile.

"Oh sige, itataas lang muna namin ni Julia yung mga bag niya." Sabi ni mama while picking up one of my bags.

"Yeah right. Itataas lang namin." I grabbed my backpack, nodding along with her.

"Tulungan na kita?" He offered. I looked at him in surprise. "I-I mean mukhang mabigat at mukhang pagod ka sa byahe."

I eyed him warily. Okay...? In the corner of my eye, I saw mom laughing quietly to herself.

"Okay." I handed him the bag, still feeling strange. He never offered me help when we were kids. Why now?

Todd ended up carrying up two bags on the way up since he insisted on carrying them both. Not my problem. Wow, I sounded like a bitch.

"There." Todd huffed as he placed my bags by the door. They are quite heavy.

"Salamat." I mumbled.

Mom stayed with me even though she did nothing. But I am thankful, I would hate to be left alone with Todd again. He is cute and nice, but our past is making things difficult.

"Baba na tayo?" He suggested.

Mom was on her way down until I grabbed her arm, resulting to her stopping. "Uh.. sige una ka na." I told him as he watched me confused.

Mom looked at me confused and so is Todd. "Hihingi lang ako nang tulong kay mama. Saglit lang naman."

He nodded and left. I sighed once he's out of sight.

"Anong kailangan mong tulong?" Mom spoke.

"Ma, I don't need your help."

"Edi ba't mo pa ako pina stay dito?" She looked confused.
