I couldn't fathom the reason behind Eros pushing Jake into the pool, though a small chuckle escaped my lips at the absurdity of the situation. Jake's irritated expression as he emerged from the water only added to my amusement. It seemed like Eros was as baffling as he was infuriating.

I made my way over to where Jake was attempting to wring out his soaked shirt, shaking my head in disbelief. "Did you see that coming?"

He scowled, still clearly annoyed. "No, and I'm pretty sure he did it on purpose."

I smirked. "Well, I wouldn't put it past him."

Jake shot me a pointed look. "You find this funny?"

"Come on, Jake, you have to admit it's a little amusing."

He sighed, running a hand through his wet hair. "Yeah, I guess."

I glanced back towards the pool entrance, half-expecting Eros to appear any moment with an explanation that only he could give. Instead, there was no sign of him. Maybe he was trying to escape the awkward aftermath of his impulsive act.

"Anyway, I think I'm heading back to my room to change," Jake said, finally giving up on trying to salvage his now drenched outfit.

"Sure, I'll catch up with you later," I replied with a nod.

My phone buzzed in my pocket, and I glanced at the message from Doctor Moore asking me to come to her office. Without hesitation, I grabbed a shirt and pulled it on before heading down the hallway. It seemed like another interruption in my day, but I pushed my annoyance aside and focused on the matter at hand.

As I reached Doctor Moore's office, I knocked on the door before entering. She looked up from her desk, her expression a mix of seriousness and concern.

"Doctor Huxley, please have a seat," she gestured to the chair across from her.

I obliged, settling into the chair and waiting for her to speak.

"Why have you taken Eros off the ice for a week?" Doctor Moore's tone was a mix of curiosity and concern.

I sighed, feeling the weight of the decision I'd made. "I can't tell you, Doctor Moore. It's a personal matter."

She raised an eyebrow, her expression unyielding. "I'm your boss, Angel. Keeping me in the dark isn't ideal, especially when it concerns a key player on our team."

I nodded, understanding her point, but the confidentiality I'd promised to Eros was equally important. "I know that, but it's about patient care. Eros doesn't want me to disclose anything to anyone, and I have to respect his wishes."

Doctor Moore leaned back in her chair, her fingers tapping on the desk thoughtfully. "This puts me in a difficult position, Angel. I need to ensure the team's performance isn't compromised, and I can't do that if I don't have all the information."

"I understand the challenges, Doctor Moore," I replied, my voice steady. "But I'm confident that Eros will be back on the ice in a week, and he'll be ready."

She studied me for a moment before sighing. "Very well. Just make sure he's fit to play again when the time comes. We can't afford any setbacks."

I nodded in agreement. "I'll ensure he's in optimal condition, don't worry."

"I need you to do anything in your power to make sure he plays." She speaks, standing up. "Whatever you need, wherever-just do it."

As I left her office, I felt a mix of relief and trepidation. Keeping Eros off the ice was a risk, but it was a risk I believed was necessary to address the issue he was facing. I knew that I was walking a fine line between patient care and the team's performance, but I was determined to navigate it successfully.
