Chapter VI

"The following morning our whole squad was standing infront of the tree house, awaiting Lyra to introduce Theia 's trainer. Theia seemed nervous, she was biting her finger nails and squeezed Alia 's hand. Then, punctually at 8am Lyra opened the door, accompanied by Kiara, who helped her walking outside.

"Goodmorning dears. It's great to see that your friends support you that much Theia, but nevertheless, you guys need to leave, so Theia won't be too distracted. Furthermore, you have duties to fulfill too. Pico, could you please bring that medicine to Nico ?", Lyra asked, while handing a tiny bottle of purple liquid to Pico.
Pico nodded, gave Theia a hug and waved goodbye.
"And you Alia, could you check the garden please ? I think the tomatoes are ready to be picked my love. Maybe you could cook us a nice veggie soup, so Theia will have a nice lunch after her training."

Alia agreed. At least like this she could support Theia.
After Alia left, Lyra turned to me and asked me to accompany her and Kiara, while Theia will be sent to training. But before Milo, an old, muscular man with a curled mustache appeared to take Theia for training, Lyra told us, that Etheria will face a possible war with something or someone.

"Kiara and I have studied the books the whole night. The danger that awaits us will most likely end up in a war. Against who ? I don't know. That's why we need to start to prepare. Not only Theia needs training, we all do. At the same time, I don't want the villagers of this planet to end up panicking. That's why I want to ask you two to not tell anyone how serious the situation is. I will discuss with Milo on how we will strengthen our defence by recruiting our people. Also we need to send out people to inform other villages. We won't be the only ones who will be involved in this war."

After listening very carefully, I was curious, on why she decided to give me this information, while she sent Pico and Alia off.

"Pico and Alia are such sweet angles, they would drown in worries and anxiety. You are kind and wise Razille and I feel like you are able to stay cool and collected, even if great danger will face us. Also, I know you are trying to learn how to handle magic, besides keeping your bakery up. Therefore, I want to offer you to teach you our ways. We can use every helping hand if war awaits us. So what do you say ?"

I was overwhelmed with that question, as it was my biggest wish to learn magic and help Etherians, just like Theia does. So I agreed.

"Great dear. Kiara will start teaching you the basics, well, she will test how much you already know.", Lyra smiled and turned to Theia. "And you darling, today you will begin learning on how to fight. Not only with the sword, but also with your own strength. Milo will train you. He is a dear friend of mine. He travelled the whole planet, learned fighting techniques and all that. I have no idea which techniques, I don't know much about fighting. He will train you from now on, at least four times a week, while I will take a short two day trip to the great library of Etheria, trying to find information on how you will be able to control your powers. I will also meet up with some other elders and try to discuss on how we will proceed."

Right after she finished that sentence, a tall man approached us from behind and introduced himself as Milo. Even though he was old, he seemed to overflow with energy, his muscles looking like they were about to explode.

"Shall we ?", he asked Theia.

"Uhh, sure, let's go.", she answered nervously.

"I will say goodbye for now too, see you all hopefully in two days with more answers." Granny Lyra waved and was accompanied by a different Magicat, who helped her sit down in a wagon, which was attached to a horse, and then sat down on the horse, starting their travel to the library.

I didn't exchange a lot of words with Theia, since we were both overwhelmed with the situation and information we just learned about. So we waved each other goodbye and I watched her walk into the woods with Milo, who carried two wooden swords on his shoulder. Then, someone tapped my shoulder. It was Kiara.
"So, show me what you already learned.", she said, with a big smile on her face.

About five hours later Theia came back from her training in the woods. When she entered the tree house, where I was still learning a new spell about creating healing potions, she directly went to the armchair and with a loud grunt she let herself fall into it.

"I cant feel my arms...or my legs. They are like spaghettis. Milo has the stamina of like five men." Theia 's hair was all over the place, while some strands were sticking to her face, as she was sweating a lot.
Then the door opened again and Alia entered. "Some fresh soup and freshly baked bread for our brave fighter." Theia jumped up, all of a sudden she had energy again. Whenever food was involved, Theia regained her energy.

"Yummy, just what I need right now!", she exclaimed while sprinting towards Alia. She swallowed the whole bowl of soup within a few seconds.
"Got more? ", she asked.

Alia looked at her with her eyes widened.

"Yeah sure. Training must have been very hard if you're that hungry.", Alia laughed. "Maybe you could help me get two more bowls, so Razille and Kiara can also eat ?"

"Oh sure.", Theia mumbled, while chewing on a big piece of bread.

After we finished eating, Theia told us how she learned how to use the sword properly.

"Do you guys know how I was trained? He just attacked and I had to learn how to defend myself by watching him. Do you know how many hits it took me to finally get a defensive strike ? At least 20! I mean sure, it was a wooden sword, but look at me!", Theia exclaimed, while stretching her bruised arms. Then she stood up and pointed at her legs, which were also covered in bruises. "It's so much harder then when we played with wooden swords.", she pouted her lips.

"I will put some cooling bandages before you go to sleep.", Alia said.

"Or maybe you can try the new healing potion I just made.", I suggested.

"How do you know that already, I thought you only learned the basics by yourself. And how come you are with magicats now?", Alia asked confused. She knew, that I was trying out magic, but she didn't know, that Lyra offered me to learn more.

"Lyra is on her way to the library and offered to Razille that she could learn some magic, so she and Kiara could take her place, whenever she is not in town, because she found out, that Razille was learning some magic by herself already.", Theia explained.
I just nodded, because I was bad at lying.
"Wow, I'm so happy for you! That's all you ever wanted! If you want to I will help out in your bakery, so you don't need to close it."
Alia was too kind and since I knew, that she loved helping her friends out, I agreed to her proposal.

For the next two days our days consisted of Theia training in the woods, Alia and Pico cooking for all of us, as well as keeping my bakery up and me learning more and more about using magic. In the evening of the third day, Lyra arrived back in the village and asked Theia and me to meet her in the tree house. Kiara had prepared some hot tea, which she offered to us. Theia could barely walk or stretch her hand out to grab the tea, as her muscles were extremely sore.

"I see, you all worked very hard in the past days and I'm very proud of you, but unfortunately I came back with rather bad news.""
