I'm gonna be honest, I've never written a diary before. Since I have one on me right now, and I need to pull my thoughts together, I might as well try my hand while I'm recovering from the Greeble attack on Woodburrow.

June 13th

Dear Boom Diary,

A few days ago, I won a trip to Woodburrow by participating in Pandergast's game show, The Price is Right, in the Golden Arcade. It was a close call with my friend, Nort, but I knew I'd come out on top thanks to my awesome guessing skills. I made some preparations in my home, Boom Town, before setting out on my impeccable ship, the Dread-Yacht.

Wow, I wasn't prepared for the humidity as I flew around Cloudbreak's jungles. Luckily, I picked up a hat from Hatterson before I left that prevented the sun from getting in my eyes. As I was trying to find my way through the totally familiar territory, Stealth Elf, the Skylander who's the vacation package's winner's bodyguard, snarkily called from the main deck: "Flynn, are you sure you don't need anybody to guide you to Woodburrow?"

I put down the map I was holding, threw an exasperated look behind me. "Of course I don't! The greatest pilot in all Skylands never needs help!"

Returning my gaze to the map, I saw the legendary Mount Broken Clouds in front of us. Our destination should be a few miles away from here. The only problem was I couldn't see anything that looked even vaguely like Boom Town. Sensing the elf's eyes boring into my back, I nervously laughed and turned my ship starboard.

Through the window, I saw a winding passage of tree trunks-

"I think Woodburrow's that way," Stealth suggested.

"Duh!" I whirled around to her, jabbing my thumb behind me. "Those tree trunks must obviously be like the roads back home! Now, can you please head below deck or shut up? Carrying out my awesome pilot skills requires a lot of concentration, and I'm having trouble concentrating with this humidity."

Wiping sweat off my brow, I started following the path to where I hoped Woodburrow was. A stone bridge passed below, followed by some Chompies racing after some bull-like creatures. There's no safe place from Chompies; stories pop up in the news now and then about how one of them ravaged a poor Mabu's closet or fridge when they were sleeping. And, yes, even I have been subject to a few attacks now and then.

"Hey, Stealth!" Someone called from above, once again interrupting my concentration.

I sighed, turning around. "For the love of the Ancients, will you just-" I paused, rubbing my eyes at the sight in front of me. "ARE YOU RIDING A GIANT CHICKEN?!"

A fox hunter riding a giant, orange chicken had landed on the deck. She was telling Stealth: "Is your friend a Skylander?"

I answered for her: "No, but I am the best pilot in all of Skylands."

The elf shook her head at the fox. "We're a bit lost, Tess. I offered to help, but Captain Doofus here," she jabbed a thumb in my direction. "has been refusing guidance."

"It's Flynn-"

"Well, Flynn," Tess began. "I know the way to Woodburrow. In fact, I was out flying to get some outside help because it's under attack by Greebles."

Stealth's eyebrows furrowed. "Greebles are as threatening as Chompies. How could they threaten an entire village?"

"They're organized under-"

Raspy, malicious voices cried out a distance away. I looked around. "What was that?"

"The Greebles have found us!" Tess hopped down from her mount's blue saddle. "They've probably been sent to make sure that reinforcements don't make it to Woodburrow! Flynn, does the ship have any weapons to fight them off?"
