Well, we successfully got my ship back and patched up. Unfortunately, it's a long shot from being as impeccable as it was yesterday. Allow me to go into more detail...

June 14th contd.

Dear Boom Diary,

I was finishing the last entry about Spy's infodump when Tessa spoke up.

"Everyone, if I may have your attention." Everyone stopped what they were doing. "I just found out that the Chieftess and her councilors were last seen at Cascade Glade. Free, Boom," she looked at a chicken and the Mabu-like Skylander in turn. "I want you to hurry. Our communication with the rest of Cloudbreak depends on her."

Free's chakrams spun around his hands. "We'll whip up a storm for Kaos if we find him!"

The hunter looked at me. "On a brighter note, you may have noticed that we have a visitor..."

I stood up. "Flynn, at your service." I took on my signature pose, accidentally giving a passing dragon an elbow sandwich. "Boom!"

"...who crashed his ship a couple miles away. We have a few hours before it gets too hot to do intense physical labor, so I'd like some help bringing Flynn's ship back here for repairs."

"You won't find a lot on it," I added. "The rest of my prized possessions may have been scattered when I escaped the Greebles with my super secret, incredibly complex maneuver."

Tessa cocked an eyebrow. "A crash?"

"Not that." I paused. "Well, yes, but that's not what I was thinking. This time, it was grinding one of those rodents into a paste to fuel my ship."

She shrugged. "If you're interested in helping him, meet us at the Airdocks. Everyone else, try your best to contribute to repairs."

Boom and Free had already left the infirmary via the door that Doofus and Tuk had used yesterday. We followed their path up a tree trunk ramp and were met by a (thankfully) tolerable wave of heat.

Tessa led me up more ramps, past some splintered training dummies. "This is the Yard. The Swap Force frequently practices their swapping magic here for when negotiations aren't possible."

"What do you mean by 'swapping magic'?"

The orange dragon who I elbowed earlier caught up with me. "As the Swap Force, we're able to temporarily exchange our legs and combine our abilities. For example, I normally go by Fire. However," he gestured for a green skunk to join him, unsheathing a firework staff. "if I swap with Stink, we'll go by Fire Bomb and Stink Kraken."

Stink brought out a few projectiles from his belt. "Stink Kraken gets my stars and Fire's explosives, while Fire Bomb gets his staff and my noxious clouds."

I put my hands to my cheeks. "That's wicked! Can you give me a demonstration?"

"Swapping takes up so much energy that we can only maintain it for an hour max," Fire answered. "and we need to let ourselves fully recover between attempts." We had crossed into the area that the Skylanders and foxes were being pushed into. He and the skunk moved into the ruined tree while we took two more ramps up, passing some leafy hammocks in the process. "Maybe you'll see it in action when you retrieve your ship!"

"My fingers are crossed!"

Tessa stopped us when we reached the top of the second ramp. Standing around us were several flying feather mattresses. There was also a covered area that resembled Boom Town's workshops, but nothing was inside it.

The hunter moved towards one of the chickens. "Partner up, everyone. Flynn, Stealth, you're with me again."

We sat in the same positions as before. Glancing around, I saw the rest of our party: a few foxes, a purple panther, the Rubik's cube golem, a yellow ape, and a cyan feline. On each bird's side was a seemingly decorative pouch. Tessa held up her hand.
