Lovers Quirl

Raph, Casey, and Y/N sit on the rooftop, admiring the guy hanging by his foot on the street pole.

"What was I supposed to do... sit around, wait for Leo to come back and save the day?" Raph asks Casey. Somehow they got on the topic of why Raph became the Nightwatcher.

Raph's costumes now fully off, as he rants about his brother.

"I mean, we haven't heard one word from him since Splinter sent him away on his little vacation." He says throwing his hands up in frustration. "Where'd you find him anyway, doll?"

Y/N thinks about what she wants to say. She doesn't want Raph to resent Leo anymore than he already does... she actually liked Leo, she relates to him a lot.

"We found him near a poor town in South America... it was overrun by bandits, before this 'Ghost of The Jungle' came and drove them away..." She starts, not wanting to anger him.

Raph knows she doesn't want to make him angry, but the fact that his brother ran off without a word to do their job on his own? He can't help it.

Before she continues, she puts her hand on his arm, trying to calm him down at least a little.

Casey notices this and smirks, but decides just to listen.

"Leo... he protects the village. He lives in a cave in the jungle... he asked about you all, when April fell in." She chuckles at the memory. "I pulled a machete on him at first."

Raph chuckles at that. Her hand still rests on his arm, causing him to blush. He grabs it and starts messing with her fingers, he doesn't want to be angry, so this is his distraction.

Y/N blushes heavily at his actions, but she turns away to try and hide it. Casey catches it though. He can't wait to mess with her later.

To distract herself, she continues. She doesn't take her hand away though.

"Leo's worried about you..." She looks back to him. "He doesn't feel worthy of you guys..."

Raph scoffs and takes his hand away, causing all three of them to frown.

"You know, I don't even care about Leo anymore." He says, standing up and walking along the edge.

'Liar.' Y/N thinks, looking at him sadly.

"Kind of hope he never comes back."

"Raphael." Y/N says in a scolding tone. "Don't you dare say that. He's your brother." She finishes walking towards him.

"What do you know? You only have your father." He says. She doesn't know what this is like.

She looks at him offended. Casey gaps at what Raph said.

"I'm only trying to hel-" "Well maybe I don't want it! I don't need you telling me what to do with my family!" He screams, walking towards her till they're face to face.

She sighs. "I may not have brothers. I may not have a family like yours. But I know for a fact that if my father left me, I wouldn't stop loving him. And I definitely wouldn't want him to stay gone." She says, lowering her head.

"Y'know something, hotshot? My father wants to retire. And he wants me to go with him. I have been spending days on end thinking if I should stay or go, but I thought I would stay, because I love this city. I have friends here now. Or that's what I thought, if you really don't want my help, then I won't help you. I'll retire with my father, and you'll never have to deal with me wanting to help." She says, starting to leave.

"Casey, I'll call you and April before I go, ok?" She says to the man witnessing the conversation. She takes her leave.

Raph hurt her. She only wanted to help him, and he snapped at her... now she's leaving?
