I froze watching Joe get hit and knocked out. It was like everything stopped and froze. Everyone was counting down the minutes until they got him off the field. I felt my heart drop when he got hit. I just looked at Delaney who had the same face I did.

Eventually the game ended and we could go see the boys, Joe was finally regaining consciousness at this point, and met up with Ja'Marr. Before even waiting for him to say anything I say "Can we go see Joe?" I ask and he nods taking us to where he is.

When we get there we see Sam and Evan, the other two in the bridal party, walking out of the room Joe is in. I step up "Is he ok?" I ask them and Sam nods "Yes, if you want to talk to him they're doing one or two at a time so it's not too much on him" he says. I look at both Ja'Marr and Delaney and they nod at me "You go in by yourself, we'll go in after you" Delaney says.

I give a half smile and walk in quietly knocking on the door making him look up. He looks genuinely surprised "Sydeny?" he asks trying to sit up but quickly stops because of a head rush "Woah there Mr. QB, you lay down ok?" I say and he just nods laying back down.

I sit in the chair next to him "Did they say anything?" I ask and he nods "No concussion but I should take it easy the next couple of days" he says and I nod "Good maybe now you'll actually take a break" I say knowing damn well Joe is still over working himself.

Even when we were in college and dating Joe never took time for himself. He always had his head wrapped around football.

-flashback-

I had just finished one of my major exams and I just wanted to spend some time with Joe. So I walked into his apartment, he leaves it unlocked during the day incase I want to come visit him, and knock on the door "Babe!" I call out taking my shoes off.

I don't hear anything but the sound of the TV going off from his room meaning he's watching film again. I hate when he does that because all he does is criticize himself, even though everyone knows Joe is one of the best quarterbacks in college football right now.

I walk up to his room and knock on the door hearing a faint come in. So I open the door and I am right he is in his bed writing down ways to "make himself better" watching last weekends film.

I sigh and walk over "Are you seriously doing this again?" I ask. He looks at me and nods "Babe watch, this pass could have easily of been a touchdown had I seen that Ja'Marr was wide open" he says playing the play for me.

I watch it and then turn to him "It could have been but you threw the ball close to a touchdown so why are you criticizing this?" I ask and he shakes his head "If I want to be in the NFL or the Heismann Trophy winner I need to be better then this" he says pressing play again.

I sigh and walk over crawling to him grabbing his remote pressing pause "Hey I was watching that" he says as I straddle his waist taking his notebook putting it on his night stand "You need to stop working yourself this hard or you're going to drain yourself from the sport" I say. He sighs and puts his hands on my hips "I hate when you're right" he says smiling.

I smile back "Now I just took one of the hardest exams ever and all I want to do is cuddle with my boyfriend" I say and he chuckles opening his arms as I smile laying in them snuggling up yo him.

-end of flashback-

I look at him "Haha sooo funny" he says rolling his eyes knowing I'm right. I chuckle and then stand up "Are they letting you come back home?" I ask and he nods "Well, I'm going to tell Ja'Marr and them to come in and then I guess I will probably see you later?" I ask and his face kind of drops when he realizes I'm leaving and just nods. I walk out and let Delaney in "Was that laughing I heard in there?" she asks smirking. I just give her a don't even look.

-Later on-

We had decided for tonight, since Delaney and Ja'Marr aren't big party people, to do a little something at the house as a bachelorette/bachelor party. So I started to decorate the house making it look all cute. Once I was done I ran up to my room and got changed into a cute orange sweater along with a pair of leggings, it's also fall time so it's a bit chilly.

I then just throw on some cozy socks and then go into my bathroom putting my hair into loose waves and keeping the makeup on that I had earlier. When I decided I was good I threw on all of my jewelry, it's all the same gold jewelry I never go without, and then throw on some perfume and walk down the stairs.

I smile seeing Ja'Marr and Delaney looking at it all. Delaney is the first one to see me and smiles at me "Oh my god Syd! It's beautiful in here! Thank you" she says hugging me. I smile and hug her back seeing Joe walk in however he's holding a girls hand. Not just any girls.
