What does that say about me? Now that I've broke your pretty heart
Joe broke up with the one girl that ever mattered to him and now he's determined to get her back.
I haven't been on a first date since...well...me and Joe started dating all of them years ago. I will never forget that feeling I had when he had asked me on our walk back home from classes to go on a date with him. I at first was so shocked that I almost didn't say anything. Luckily that day I did.
-flashback-
I had just finished my physics class that I have with Joe, how I never noticed he was in my class is beyond me. But once we noticed we started doing every assignment together and sat next to each other. We were talking about the exam we just took and how we both felt about the whole thing. We got onto our street when Joe decided to change the topic "Hey Syd, are you doing anything tonight?" he asks. I look at him slightly confused as we stop in front of my apartments "Um, not that I can think of why?" I ask and he smiles at that response "Good, how would you like to go on a date with me tonight?" he asks. My eyes widens and jaw almost drops to the ground but I refrain from doing so. So I smile the biggest smile I ever had and nod "I would love to go on a date with you tonight" I say making him smile more "Perfect I will pick you up at 6" he says before walking to his apartments.
I run into my apartment and quickly into my room letting out a big squeal and automatically start to look through my closet and drawers to see what i can wear for tonight. Delilah must have heard my squeal because she walks in "Woah why the tornado of clothes?" she asks looking around and then at me in my closet just flinging clothes. I turn to her trying to contain my excitement before I squeal again "Joe asked me to go on a date tonight" I say. She gasps and squeals with me "What time??" she asks. I look at my clock seeing it's already 4:30 "6" I say and she nods thinking "Ok, you go and get ready and I will pick out your outfit" she says. I nod and run into my bathroom to take a quick shower, thanking myself for washing my hair earlier this morning before classes.
I scrub my body and shave my body, just incase if something happens. I then get out and moisturize and do my skin care before walking out seeing a cute white tank with some jeans is set on my bed with a pair of fancy flip flops. I smile before yelling out "You're the best!" heading to my vanity to start working on my hair. I curl it into loose waves and put on very light makeup since it's still slightly warm down here and I don't want to sweat it off. I then put on my outfit and spray some perfume seeing it's now 5:50, meaning Joe will be here very soon. So I take a deep breath putting my shoes on and grab my nicer purse along with my phone just as Joe knocks on the door.
I hear Delilah answer the door as I take a deep breath. I walk down the stairs as Joe looks up and smiles "Wow.." he says making me smile as I walk up to him "Ready?" I ask and he nods as we walk out the door.
-end of flashback-
I sigh and smile at the memory thinking of how wonderful that night was. I go to my closet and pick out a pretty outfit which is just a sweater, black skirt, black tights, and boots.

I leave my hair in its curls and touch up my makeup from earlier throwing on some gold jewelry. I smile nodding as I walk down the stairs just as Joe knocks I take a deep breath and walk over to the door opening it up as Joe looks at me and smiles "Wow, just as beautiful as the first time we went out" he says. I blush "Why thank you" I say walking out locking the door and then head to his car with him. He opens the door for me helping me in "Still such a gentleman" I say as he chuckles before closing the door getting in on his side. I smile looking at him "So where are we going?" I ask and he smiles "You will see" he says.
I laugh "Oh come on, you know I hate secrets" I say and he laughs "Yes I do, but just trust me ok?" he says. I sigh as he drives more and pulls up to a semi fancy restaurant and then gets out going to my side getting me out. I smile and get out and then walk up to the restaurant with him as he walks to the hostess asking for his reservation and they nod and then take us to the table. It's in the cutest little secluded area with pretty lights everywhere. I smile and walk over as Joe pulls out the chair for me "Why thank you" I say sitting down and then he sits across from me "Your waitress will be right with you" she says. We both nod thanking her as I look at Joe. He smiles "This is perfect Joe, thank you" I say and he nods "I wanted to make it the best for you because of how much I screwed up before" he says. I blush.
He goes to say something as our waitress comes up, and surprise surprise it's Brittney. My jaw almost drops and then she sees it's us and scoffs "Of course you guys are here, what can I get you guys to drink" she asks starting with Joe "Um just your best wine" he says and she then looks at me "Sure" she says writing it down as Joe looks at me.
This is going to be a fun date.
