Aquatic Tears

Chapter 5. New Hope

     "Yo Koricha, help me out over here! These logs are quite heavy, you know." Lenyk tells Koricha, signaling to get the rest. "Will do." Koricha replies, going over to help. "Hey Rithra, do you know if this island is on any maps?" Misaki asks Rithra, hoping for some useful information. "I can't seem to remember if it was, sorry." Rithra replies.

     "Jeez, these logs are heavy!" Koricha tells Lenyk, wiping the sweat off his face."Splinters..." Koricha tells himself, taking the small peices of wood out of his hand. "Oh shoot, we don't even have bandages!" Lenyk replies, searching his bag. "And after all of our efforts, we are still short on supplies." Koricha replies, wrapping his hand with the bandages. "If only we had essential supplies." Koricha tells Lenyk.

     Later that day, Lenyk teaches Koricha how to use spears and end up in a sparring match. "Who do you think will win?" Misaki asks Rithra, watching the two fights."Slippery little bastard." Lenyk tells Koricha as he goes to stab him. "Oh shut it." Koricha replies, disarming Lenyk. "How!?" Lenyk asks, standing up. "Parents taught me self-defense." Koricha replies, stabbing the spear into the ground, holding out his hand. "Need some help?" Koricha asks.

     "It's already getting late." Rithra tells the two. "Oh yeah, you're right." Lenyk replies, taking Korichas hand getting up. "That's enough sparring for today. Still think you can beat me?" Koricha asks, chuckling. "I can if I try hard enough!" Lenyk replies angered. "What are you? A kid?" Koricha replies, holding back their laughter "Oh fuck you!" Lenyk yells.

     The next morning, the group gets up to do their daily chores. Koricha with construction, Lenyk and Rithra with hunting and Misaki with cooking, but the day went by slowly. "I hope we can find a way off this island." Misaki tells everyone. "I hear you, but we can't just get off so simply." Koricha replies. "We will find a way." Rithra replies.

     The four go look for resources in the evening. "Let's just hope we find some stuff." Lenyk tells the group. "Yup, also Lenyk, don't get hurt. We have a shortage of resources." Koricha replies. "Wait, why is this directed to me?!" Lenyk replies. "It's self-explanatory." Koricha replies, chuckling to himself. "I hate you so much." Lenyk tells Koricha, flipping him off.

     "Hey, look over here!" Misaki tells the group, pointing at what seems to be a plane crash. "Oh no." Lenyk replies.
