Chapter 9. Illusions from Hell

     "This can't be real can it?" Koricha tells himself. "Wait wait wait, then whose the real one.." Misaki asks staring at Koricha and the mirage. "What? Still can't believe your eyes?" The mirage asks. The mirage was a bruised, stabbed and bloody Koricha, it was a nightmare in their eyes, they were all confused that they could all see it. "Wait your the thing I saw, it was when I saw a vision of Koricha getting shot in the head by an arrow." Misaki explains, staring with disbelief. "That's why you zoned out." Koricha replies, the mirage immediate appears in front of Koricha. "Come on! Why not join me in this dance of the dead!" The mirage yells as it begins to taunt Koricha. "What even are you?" Lenyk asks. "You all have nothing fun about you, let's change that!" The mirage yells as an earthquake happens, a phenomenon occured across the island. "Watch out!" Koricha yells as he gets separated by his friends. "Now now, your not escaping me!" The mirage yells in excitement.

     "My head..." Rithra says as she sits up at the beach where Koricha woke up at, the rest of the group is there except Koricha. "Where's Koricha?" Rithra asks. "We don't know, take a look at the mountain, it's completely destroyed." Lenyk replies. "What even is that thing?" Kuroka asks Lenyk. "Like I know." Lenyk replies thinking. "Wait, I think I know where we are." Misaki tells them. "I got it! Follow me!" Misaki tells the group as she begins to go to the ship wreck. "Is this how you got here?" Lenyk asks her. "No but I think it's how Koricha got here." Misaki replies. "Let's fix the boat and leave then." Lenyk suggests. "And leave Koricha?" Kuroka tells him. "Are we sure that, that's his name? Better yet. Are we sure that's him?" Lenyk explains. "What we saw completely rules out everything we knew about him." He explains. "Well whatever it is we have to take him. We can't just leave him here to rot!" Misaki tells him. "You still believe in him?" Lenyk replies. "And you don't? He was our friend! And you're going to leave him?" Rithra says backing Misaki up. "You too Rithra?" Lenyk asks. "Fine, we'll look for him. And we will bring him with us." Lenyk tells them as he readies his spear.

     Back with Koricha, he is not having a pleasant time. "You're getting amusement from this aren't you!?" Koricha yells as he fends off from a bear with his bare fists. "Of course I am." It replies as it makes more animals go towards Koricha. "This is gonna be one of those days isn't it." Koricha tells himself as he picks up a rock and stabs the bear in the eye. "Sharp thinking." It tells him. "That was a shitty pun!" Koricha yells back at it as he stabs more of the animals with the sharp rock. "Still relying on your friends?" It asks. "Yeah! Why?" Koricha replies as he continues stabbing but more and more animals come. "You're no fun." It tells Koricha as it punches Koricha. "The fuck?!" Koricha yells as he blocks it barely still not trying to get hurt by the bears. "It's no fun just watching this, so let's spice it up!" It tells him as he punches Koricha, he couldn't block in time. "I just need to stall." Koricha mumbles to himself, but then a cannonball comes out of nowhere. "Ahoy Koricha! Hop on!" Lenyk yells as he holds his hand out for Koricha to grab. "Nice timing!" Koricha yells as he runs to the ship, grabbing Lenyks hand so he can be pulled up. "You've messed with the wrong people." Koricha tells it. "Here's your bow!" Kuroka tells Koricha handing him a quiver and bow. "Thanks, now. Let's see what's fun!" Koricha yells as he shoots the mirage in the shoulder. "Fire!" Lenyk yells as Rithra shoots the mirage with a cannonball, it hit it in the stomach. "We should get out of here!" Koricha tells Lenyk. "No, you leave. I'll take it from here." Lenyk replies as he takes a cutlass from a compartment of the ship and jumps off. "Take care of my sister for me." Lenyk tells him as he signals for them to leave, Koricha was locked in the inside of the boat as they left. "No!" Koricha yells as he watches Lenyk fight the mirage from the window. "I'm sorry Koricha, it's for the best..." Lenyk tells himself as he continues fighting. "If you wanna get to him you have to go through me!" Lenyk yells.

     The remaining 4 were out on the great blue sea, Koricha was still sad about losing Lenyk. "We'll come back for him, I promise." Misaki tells him reassuring him. Koricha remained silent as he stared off into the direction where they left from. "We'll go back for you, I swear." Koricha tells himself.
