When I Met Him

When it hit me, I had no idea what would come with it. I'm talking about true love of course. Yes, I know it sounds quite cheesy and maybe a bit cliché, and it is--until it happens to you. I was merely sixteen when it happened to me. We met in the strangest way.
I was standing in front of a bathroom mirror adjusting my hair. He walked out of a bathroom stall and I swear it all happened in slow motion. He adjusted his tan cardigan and walked towards the sinks. I was in such shock that I lost my footing and ran into him.
"Oops!" He said, almost catching both himself and I. Taking a breath and trying not to screw everything up, I said,
"Hi." We both stared at each other silently until someone came in. Both of us broke eye contact to see who it was. The man continued to walk to a urinal and the beautiful boy continued the conversation,
"So, I'm Louis..." His lips curled up in the corners when he spoke and it was the cutest thing.
"Uh, yah I'm--my name is Harry." I told him, totally butchering my introduction. We walked out of the bathroom together and reluctantly parted ways.
For the rest of the day, all I could do was think about him. The way everything he did was so graceful. In the back of my mind I had the question I hate the most, "What if he's not gay?" That was a huge worry I had every time I found a guy attractive.
I heard the director call out,
"Louis Tomlinson? You're up next." Shortly after, Louis had gotten up with his family and walked to the director. The director then led him and his family away and I felt my heart tug. My mum tapped me on my arm and said,
"Do you know him?" I shook my head to signal that I didn't and looked back down at my phone.
Shortly after, I was called up for my audition. All the while I was walking up to the backstage area, I kept thinking,
"Do it for Louis. This is for Louis." While I was singing my audition song, "Isn't She Lovely", I wanted to switch the She to He because he was lovely. He was made from love. I was hoping to run into him after my audition. By word of mouth, I heard that Louis had made it through. I was ecstatic!
As the next few weeks passed, we had gotten really close. He spent the night at my house a few times and I spent the night at his a few times as well. One night, we decided to pull an all-nighter and stayed up talking about anything and everything.
"So I don't want you to be freaked out by this, but I'm bi." I managed to let the words stumble out of my mouth. A little smirk crept onto his face. I was nervous to see what he had to say.
"That's perfect." He whispered leaning in close to me. We were staring right into each other's eyes and I knew what was happening. I slowly shut my eyes and leaned into him. When our lips gently met, I felt so strange. My heart fluttered and my stomach did flips. I suddenly felt so warm inside. This was unlike any other kiss I'd ever had. Just something felt different. The way I felt so complete with the kiss. It felt like...magic. We parted lips and I could see that not only my cheeks were beet red, but so were his. We both giggled and both admitted that we liked each other.
Little did I know, I would be spending the rest of my life with him. My soul mate.
