"I fucking hate parallel parking." Louis groaned to himself as he pulled up to his favorite bar. He carelessly threw his car into park and got out, slamming his door. Looking up at the bar's glowing sign, Louis remembered all the late nights he would spend here whenever him and his boyfriend, well ex boyfriend now, got into a fight.

After work one night, Louis had come home exhausted. He noticed a foreign jacket hanging on Tyler and his' coatrack. Right under the hanging jacket was a pair of shoes that didn't belong to Tyler or Louis. As he was too tired to overthink anything, Louis shrugged it off. After all, it could have just been one of Tyler's friends, Troye. Louis continued to walk further into the apartment to grab some dinner. He grabbed some left overs from the fridge. As he set the tupperware down on the counter, he noticed a white shirt crumpled up onto the counter. This caused Louis' stomach to drop because Tyler never wore white shirts. Tyler always stained his white shirts. Louis picked up the shirt and smelled it, it definitely did not smell like Tyler. Now full of anxiety and anger, Louis quietly walked to his and Tyler's bedroom. He heard low, thumping music behind the closed bedroom door. Louis put his ear to the door and heard Tyler's signature flirtatious giggle, followed by a slurred Australian accent saying,
"You're ticklish there, eh? How about when I touch you here?" Before Tyler could respond, Louis barged in and saw exactly what he didn't want to see: Troye's hand on Tyler's undressed thigh. They both whipped their heads to look at Louis in shock. Louis' eyes started to well up and he yelled, "So much for fucking commitment Tyler!" As Louis marched angrily toward the kitchen, he heard Tyler's footsteps behind him. "Louis, just--hold on!" Louis whipped around to look at the pathetic look on Tyler's face. "You can't talk your way out of everything, Tyler. Don't even try, I don't want to hear it anymore. Bye, Tyler, have a nice life." He then nearly ripped his coat off the coat rack and slammed the door. Tyler stood in the kitchen staring right where Louis once stood.

Louis walked up to the bar, "Jameson, on the rocks." He took a seat in between two men. One was tall and slender with long curly hair and the other man looked to be about forty years old with three ex-wives and four kids. The man with curly hair tapped the bar top to get a bartenders attention. "Can I have a Mount Gay with Coke, please?"
"Sure thing, hun." The bartender answered over the loud music. Louis chuckled a bit at the man's drink choice while taking a sip of his own. When the bartender came back with the slender man's drink, he turned to Louis and said, "I don't suppose your drink is better than mine." Louis gave a sarcastic look to the stranger and put out his hand. "Louis." He introduced himself. "Harry." The tall man said, grabbing Louis' hand and placing a gentle kiss on the top. Louis blushed and admired Harry's eyelashes as he brought his head up. Gently letting go of Louis' hand, Harry asked, "So what're you doing here?" Louis sighed and turned away, looking at the booze filled wall, "Boys." he answered with a tint of disdain in his voice and a tear welling in his eye. Looking down at his drink and blinking away any evidence of tears, Louis then asked the same question for Harry. "I wish I could say my answer was different." Harry and Louis made eye contact as Harry said, "I broke up with my boyfriend tonight." Louis felt a need to confess what he had seen that night, "I walked in on my boyfriend hooking up with his best friend." Harry's face suddenly softened. "I--I'm so sorry, Louis." Taking the last swig of his drink, Louis made eye contact with the bartender and shakily said, "I'm going to need about three more of these please." With a nod of his head, the bartender went to make his drink, while Harry continued to stare at the boy next to him. Louis caught him staring, "Please don't feel sorry for me. I can't deal with any pity right now." Harry shook his head and leaned over to the other boy's ear to whisper, "I'm not sorry for you. I'm sorry for him." Louis felt his cheeks getting hotter. Harry continued on, no longer whispering, "You're a gem--actually no, you're a prince. He was stupid to do that to you, Louis. That poor bloke. He probably doesn't even realize what he's missing." Turning to face him, he asked the one question that Louis had been expecting, "Want to get out of here?" Louis responded with a quick nod of the head.

Stepping into Harry's house, Louis felt like a kid at a museum for the first time, there was so much to look at! Harry led the short boy into his sitting room. They both sat down next to each other like two awkward teenagers at a party. Louis impulsively jumped onto the curly lad's lap and quickly went in for a kiss. Harry's hands eventually found their way to Louis' bum. In between kisses, Harry said, "Wait," Backing away, but still straddling the tall lad's lap, Louis rustled his hair and waited for him to speak. "I didn't bring you home to use you for sex." With that, Louis hesitantly climbed off of Harry's lap. "Then what the hell did you bring me here for?" the older boy asked crossing his arms over his chest while looking away. "I brought you to my place to show you your actual worth. I don't believe your ex had ever shown you how you should properly be treated." Louis was skeptical of this guy. How could he have known so much about his life if they just met? Sure there had been a few too many days where Tyler would pin point nearly every flaw Louis had, and yes there were days that Tyler would go on business trips and come back a little too cheery. Tyler and Louis had been together for eight years so he didn't know any better. Feeling a bit defensive, Louis harshly deflected back at Harry by saying, "Listen, I don't want to be your little project. I know about guys like you. They get broken and only feel better by fixing someone else that's broken. I'm all set. I know how to put myself back together again." Harry was taken aback by the harsh tone in Louis' voice. "Like I told you in the bar, I'm not looking for any pity." Louis continued on. Harry left the room abruptly and the sound of his footsteps trailed on the large staircase. He came back down and stood in front of Louis, his pockets bulging for items. "What the--" Louis started but then was interrupted b Harry, "Shut up." The tall man pulled out gold and silver jewelry from his pockets and placed it all in front of Louis. Looking Louis in the eyes, Harry asked, "How much do you think all of this is worth?" Louis looked at the mountain of gold and silver accessories with a confused demeanor. "Erm, maybe thirty grand?" Harry walked over to sit next to the confused lad. "You see, I know that this costs around forty five grand--maybe fifty." Harry began, motioning to the array of shine. "However, you think it's maybe worth thirty grand. If you buy something that doesn't cost much, you are going to treat it with less care than you would an expensive item, right?" Louis just nodded his head, still confused about what was going on. "Your ex, erm.." "Tyler," Louis interjected. "Right, Tyler thought the same thing you did about all of this jewelry. He thought, you were worth a lot but he didn't know how much you are actually worth." Timidly, Louis said, "I don't even know your last name." Leaning in for a kiss, Harry whispered, "I don't know yours either, Prince Louis."
