"good morning beta take your pills"
I sighed sitting up from my bed.
"thank you"
Sri auntie handed me the pain killers and a cup of chai.
Ever since my crash on Sunday, my doctor has put me on them. I still have pains in my neck and back.
I've rewatched the crash probably a hundred times and all I have to say is thank god for that halo.
I arrived in London yesterday and just in time for one of dad's big Indian parties.
I ran a hand through my hair.
Mick has his McLaren test at Portimão today.
He didn't want to leave me after Sunday, but I told him too.
He needs to be on good terms with all the teams, so that in the case a seat opens up, he'll be their first choice.
"home Grand Prix this weekend. excited?" Sri auntie asked opening up my curtains.
I hummed picking a rose out of the bouquet of flowers beside my bed.
Charles still feels guilty for causing the crash and has been sending me flowers everyday since.
"you really gave your mother a fright" she added.
I chuckled.
poor mama
First race she decides to come to and I almost die. I doubt we'll be seeing her anytime soon.
I got up and headed to the bathroom to wash up.
Once I was done I skipped down the stairs to the kitchen.
I grabbed a bowl of fruit then joined dad and Siddharth in the living room.
"morning" I smiled kissing dad's cheek.
I sat down on Sid's lap taking the iPad from him.
"ooh mango chia pudding" I smiled going through the menu.
"good morning to you too baby sis" he chuckled kissing my cheek.
I hummed.
"how much guests are coming?" I asked dad plopping a grape into my mouth.
"not a lot"
That means a couple hundred.
"you should invite Lewis" he suggested.
