"how am I even supposed to show my face?" I said pulling the comforter off my head.
Carmen sighed sitting down at the edge of my bed.
"I'm sure it's all a big misunderstanding Amani. Mick would never cheat on you" she said.
"but Carmen there's proof! and he's been going missing since we've got here! he cheated and that's final!"
I fell back against the bed.
I turnt to the clock on the bedside table. I have about an hour left till I need to start getting ready.
She sighed standing up.
I physically can't cry anymore.
Between blacking out, throwing up dinner, sewing Charles cross onto his suit whilst balling my eyes out, to throwing up again and falling asleep next to the toilet.
I feel nothing
I tied my hair up into a bun.
"I'll throw a spanner at him if I see him in the garage" she said.
I smiled.
"thank you"
I slowly got up out of bed and made my way to the bathroom. I looked at myself in the mirror and sighed.
"you're Amani Kraus and you don't need any man" I said slapping my face a few times to bring back some color to them.
I brushed my teeth and combed out my hair before heading downstairs for some breakfast.
Ironically covering my whole island was vases of flowers, tins cookies and pastries and stuffed animals.
I smiled softly picking up a danish and taking a bite of it.
"we're all here for you mani" Carmen smiled hugging me from behind.
I closed my eyes relaxing back in her arms.
Just as I was about to sit down I heard the sound of heels on my tile. I turnt my head and saw Kelly sprinting down the corridor.
"Kelly what are yo-oof"
She pulled me into her arms.
"Amani I'm so so so sorry" she said holding my face in her hands.
I sighed.
"thank you Kelly" I said hugging her back.
"but I will be fine. trust me guys. it's going to take some getting used to not being called Mrs. Schumacher anymore, but we got to move on somehow" I said.
Carmen shook her head. She grabbed my shoulders and started shaking me.
