I closed my eyes breathing in the crisp salty breeze.
Santorini
I spun around smiling at Mick whom I was ironically twining with.
I lifted up my shades.
"enjoying that?" I teased as he licked his ice cream.
He rolled his eyes.
"haha very funny"
I giggled pecking his cheek.
He wrapped his arm around me as we walked back into the house.
we managed to escape the boys for a little us time
He ran a hand through his hair as he watched me pack away the groceries we bought earlier.
"we should go into town" he said.
I closed the fridge.
"for? did we forget to buy something?" I asked picking up the receipt.
"no" he chuckled.
He took the receipt from me and put it back down.
"I was thinking of getting a little something for mama and maybe you can get something for your dad"
I snickered.
"what can I buy for that man that he can't already get himself?"
nothing
"come liebe"
He grabbed my hand and pulled me behind him.
When we got to town I somehow managed to lose him.
"he'll find me eventually" I mumbled before wandering off.

"yes mama I know her ring size" I said rolling my eyes.
Whilst Amani was fixing the straps on her sandals, I was able to sneak off.
I plan on proposing to her in Singapore under the bright lights all soaked in champagne and covered in confetti.
she's going to hate me but it'll be memorable
I found the jewelry shop that mama recommended me to go to.
"hello" I greeted looking up at the door chimes.
"welcome! welcome!"
I smiled walking over to the glass cases.
Almost immediately a blueish green stone set in a diamond encrusted gold band caught my eye.
yes I know a thing or two about jewelry
The concierge chuckled.
"teal sapphire a very rare find" he said pulling out the ring.
The way the blue blends with the green reminds me of the sea. And most of all, both Amani and I's eyes.
