I hear some laughter in the living room and follow it. I see Ryan and Wyatt and another girl laughing and decorating. "Hey guys!" I say. They all turn around and smile. "Hey y/n! I'm glad you could make it early, we really need your help. Oh! by the way this is my girlfriend, Jaide." Ryan says. "Nice to meet you, I'm y/n." I say while waving at her, she smiles and waves back. "Can you fill up the drink cooler in the kitchen?" Asks Wyatt. "Sure thing!" I head to the kitchen and start putting drinks into the cooler. Wondering where River is hiding. I hear the front door open. "Boyyyysssss, I'm back from the store!" Yells River. My heart flutters and I quickly mess with my hair. I hear footsteps come into the kitchen and turn around. "Oh, hey y/n. What are you doing?" River asks. "Wyatt asked me to fill the drink cooler." I reply. "Well, I have some snacks here that need to be set out, do you mind?" He asked. "Yeah, sure. No problem." He walks out of the kitchen and I start to put out the snacks he brought. Was it me or was that weird? He acted like nothing happened this morning. Maybe it's for the best. I hear the door open again and a group of their friends come in and I hear a commotions in the living room of everyone saying hi to each other.

I take a deep breath and head to the living room. When I enter the room everyone is already talking and laughing. "There she is! This is y/n. The girl who zoned out and almost made us fall over and die" said Ryan laughing. "Hey now! If I actually wanted you to die it would've happened by now!" I laughed. I wave to everyone. "Let's get some shots!" said River. We all make our way to the kitchen and River pours shots for everyone. We all cheers and take them. I decide to start off slow and grabbed an Angry Orchard Cider. As time went on more and more people showed up. I obviously didn't really know anyone besides Ryan, Jaide, River, and Wyatt. The music was loud and I'm sure the neighbors could hear it. I walk around to see where everyone was. I see Wyatt talking to a group of guys just laughing. Ryan and Jaide are on the couch playing a card game with a group of people. River is nowhere to be seen. I decide to grab another cider and went over to Ryan and Jaide. "Hey guys, is it too late to join?" I asked. Jaide pats the spot next to her. I sit next to her and they deal me in. Looks like we are playing Cards Against Humanity. We were all laughing and having a good time. After a few times around the table I needed to go to the bathroom. I excuse myself and get up. I realize the only bathroom I know of is the one downstairs and I felt too awkward to go back to ask where another is.

I start walking downstairs. Oh shoot.. which door was it again? I'm just going to take a gamble. I open the door on the left and I was right. I go to the bathroom and wash my hands. I look at the time and it's 11pm. Huh.. I barely have seen River in the past couple hours. I wonder where he went. Maybe he's been out back this whole time. I should look for him. I fix my outfit and mess with my hair before I leave. I open the door and I look up and stop in my tracks. A girl stumbles out of River's bedroom. What the hell? The girl looks at me and giggles, "Heyyy girly, this is a fun party, huh?" She continues to stumble away back upstairs. Who is that? River doesn't seem like the type to hook up with a drunk girl at a party. Maybe he would be the type? If this is a random girl he hooked up with why wouldn't he give me any type of attention? Stop it y/n. Don't do this. We are only friends. FRIENDS!

I make my way back upstairs. I need a stronger drink. I go to the kitchen and take a shot of vodka. I pour another shot. Another. Another. Another. "Whoaaaa there champ, maybe you should take it easy." I roll my eyes. "Listen, I'm not in the mood to talk to some guy I don't know that wants to tell me what to do." He chuckles, "I'm not trying to hit on you or tell you what to do. I was just trying to start a conversation." I turned around, "I'm sorry, I'm just a little on edge right now." He smiles at me. "I can see that. Can I make you a drink?" I nod, "A Vodka Lemonade please.. make it a double." He starts to make my drink. "I'm Seth.. Seth Borden. I'm friends with the twins and Wyatt." he says. "I'm y/n, I guess I'm also a friend of them." I scoff. He hands me my drink. "You guess you're friends?" He asks. "Well, I just meet them a couple days ago so it's pretty fresh." I sip at my drink, yummy. "I see, I see. Well, we should get back to the party." I nod in agreement. Those shots are getting to me, I can feel myself stumble a couple times but I catch myself. I could tell everyone else was also tipsy or drunk. I feel like dancing. I think Seth noticed and offers me his hand, I take it and we start dancing to the music. We were enjoying our time and laughing. After a couple songs I go out back to get a breather. I stumble my way outside still holding my drink.

I take a deep breath once I get outside. This feels nice. "Hey y/n" I jump a little and turn around losing my balance to see River standing next to the fire pit. "Oh, hey River.." I sip some of my drink. "Where have you been all night?" I ask. "I've just been floating around. How much have you had to drink tonight?" He asks. "I don't know, what does it matter to you? It's not like you're my boyfriend." I slur my words. Why did I just say that? God, I'm so drunk. "I'm still your friend y/n." I scoff, "We met 2 days ago, we are barely acquaintances at this point." He walks over to me. "Do you really believe that?" I chug my drink finished. "Yeah, I do." I start to walk towards the door to go get another drink. As I pass River I stumble backwards unable to catch myself but River does. Our eyes meet and I can't help but start to melt in those blue eyes. He helps me up and I snap out of the trance and he says, "Are you sure you need another drink? Maybe you should lay down. You can lay in my bed." Did he really suggest me sleeping in the bed he just hooked up with a girl in? "Yes, I need another drink. I'm perfectly fine, see?" I walk in a straight line back inside. Whew, that was tough to do. Let's get another drink.

Everyone is still dancing. I see Wyatt dancing to a cute girl and things seem to be getting flirty. Seth is talking to a group of guys. I don't see Ryan and Jaide. I make my way to the kitchen to make another drink. There were a few people mingling. I stumble over to the counter and I make a Fruit Punch and Vodka. I turn around and bump into someone and spill my drink on him. "Oh em gee, I'm so sorry! Let me help you clean up!" Slurring my words. I go to grab some paper towels or a towel but couldn't find anything. Maybe the bathroom? "I don't see anything to dry you up. Let's go to the bathroom and use the towel in there." He nods in agreement, "I'll follow you." He says. I start walking towards the hallway and I stumble a couple times. I remember I only know about the bathroom downstairs. "Do you know where the bathroom is up here?" He shakes his head. "Hmm, well I know there's one downstairs. Follow me." I wave my hand for him to follow me. We go downstairs and head to the bathroom. I see a towel hanging up. Perfect! I turn around and the guy was uncomfortably close to me. I try to brush it off and I laugh and take a step back. He steps towards me. "Hey, let me get the towel wet and we can try to get the red stain out of your shirt." I step past him to get to the sink, I try to make it for the doorknob and I feel him push me against the wall and I stumble. He grabs my throat and says, "I dare you to scream." I try to squirm and flail my body to get out of his grasp but he throws me to the floor and puts his body weight on me and holds my arms down. Tears sting my eyes. "You know, this was much easier than I thought to get you alone. Pick a drunk girl, bump into her and have drink spill on me, get her alone so I can do whatever I want to her." I spit in his face, "Fuck you, pervert!" I try to escape his grasp. He wiped the spit from his face, "Bad move little girl." He raises his hand to hit me but before he could I heard someone pound at the door and he looks at the door, "y/n! Are you in there?! Unlock the door!" The guy looks at me and leans in to my ear to whisper, "If you say anything I'll make this a lot worse for you." I'll take the chance. "RIVER, HELP HEL-" The man strikes me and I start crying more. I hear River kicking at the door. The man starts trying to unbutton my pants. I try kicking and screaming away from him. I hear the bathroom door swing open and slam. River grabs the guys and pulls him off of me and punches him. "Get your fucking hands off of her!" He yells and punches him again, again, and again. I didn't know what to do but crawl into the corner. I hear footsteps running down the stairs, it's Ryan, Jaide, and Wyatt. They pull River off of the guy. "What the fuck is going on here?" Ryan asks his brother. Wyatt and Jaide see me in the corner and comes to my side to make sure I was okay. "That pervert was trying to take advantage of y/n!" The guys lays there unconscious, I'm not sure if he's dead or alive.

Someone calls 9-1-1 and the next thing I know they are here taking the guy away. He was still alive. The police question me, River, Ryan, Jaide and Wyatt. They sent everyone at the party home. The police ask me if I want to press charges, I was too overwhelmed to make a decision so the officer gave me his card and told me to call him tomorrow so they can decide what they need to do with him. Once the police to leave I excuse myself to the bathroom. I look at myself in the mirror. My mascara was running down my face and my shirt was no longer tucked in, my hair was messy. I turn on the water and try to wash my face, as I do this I start sobbing. What did I do to deserve this? I should have gone to bed when River offered. I wipe my tears away and I pull myself together and tuck my shirt back in and throw my hair up in a messy bun.
