After Party

I make my way out of the bathroom and see River sitting in the movie room. I went over to him and sat next to him. "Hey.." He clears his throat before speaking, "Hey.." He said quietly. "Thank you for saving me. If you hadn't of came when you did who knows what would've happened." Tears swell my eyes. River turns to me and gives me a hug and I hug him back. I nuzzle my head into his neck and find myself crying in his arms. I really need to stop doing this. He rubs my back to comfort me. "I saw you walk downstairs with him and I felt something wasn't right but I selfishly didn't follow sooner because you told me we weren't friends but I couldn't shake the feeling something wasn't right. I'm sorry I wasn't there sooner." I look up at him and put my hand on his chest. "Don't discredit yourself River.. You saved me. Things could've been much worse if you didn't come when you did. I also didn't mean when I said we weren't friends.." I look down, "I was upset because I had gone to the bathroom before and when I left I bumped into this girl leaving your room and it made me a little upset. Call me crazy but I felt these small sparks between us and -" River interrupts, "Wait.. What girl are you talking about? I haven't been in my room this whole night." He lifts my chin up and I stare at those blue eyes, "You're not crazy y/n and there was a spark between us but -" he stops. "But what?" I pull away from him. God, he's going to friendzone me.. "You told me the story about your ex and I could see how much pain you were and are in. I honestly didn't want to become your rebound and felt that you needed a friend more than anything so I gave you the cold shoulder and pushed those feelings aside." I shook my head. "You wouldn't be my rebound River.." He smiled softly, "How about we just take things slow then. If you are open to that?" I smile back and give him my hand to shake on it. "Yeah, I am open to it." He grabs it and pulls me closer and kisses my cheek softly. "I was hoping you would say that. It's getting late, please take my bed tonight." I smile at him, "Okay buuuut.. I don't want to be alone. Will you stay with me?" He nods to the request.

We get up from the couch and make our way to his room. "Do you want something more comfortable to wear?" he asks. "Sure, thank you" He hands me a pair of black sweat and a Twin Paranormal t-shirt. I motion him to turn around so I can change. Of course his clothes are baggy on me but I don't mind. I fold my clothes neatly and put them aside and sit on the bed. He then told me it was his turn and he motioned me to cover my eyes. I slightly peak and see him take of his shirt and starts taking his jeans off and I cover my eyes again out of respect. He sits down next to me. I giggle at him, "We are twinsies!" He also giggles. "Are you ready for bed y/n?" I nod. "Do you have an extra charger so I can charge my phone?" He shifts through his night stand and pulls out a charger for me to use. I hand him my phone and he puts it on charge. I get up and pull back the covers and I go under them and I pat the bed next to me. River smiles and goes into bed with me. We were both laying on our backs in silent. After a few moments go by I whisper, "River?" he replies back, "Yeah?" I take moment to reply, "Would it be too fast if I asked if we can cuddle?" He sighs sarcastically, "If we must!" I gasp sarcastically back at him and playfully punch him. He laughs. I turn over and wrap my arm around his torso and he puts one arm under me and the other around me. He feels so warm just like the other night when we hugged. "Good night River" He squeezes me lightly, "Good night y/n." I fall asleep in his arms.

Sunday morning

I wake up still cuddling with River which makes me smile. I look up at him to find him on his phone. "Good morning." He smiles at me and puts down his phone, "Good morning, pretty lady!" I stretch and It feels so good. "How did you sleep?" He asks. "Surprisingly well, I think having you here with me helped." He leans over and gives me a kiss on my forehead. I melt a little on the inside. He wraps his arms around and I lean my forehead against his chest. I don't want to leave this moment. We stay like this for a few minutes until we hear someone knock on his door. "Yeah??" He replies. The door starts opening and River let's go of me and runs over to the door and stops it from opening all the way. "Hey-y Wyatt, what's up?" He asks. "Did you want to go to IHOP with us? Is y/n in there? We can't find her but her cars still here." Wyatt asks with concern I'm his voice. "Oh uh yeah, I let her sleep in my bed last night and I was just checking in on her." He replies. Why is he lying to Wyatt? "Oh good, well we are going to leave in 15 if you guys want to come." He says. "If we aren't up there you guys leave without us, I'm not sure if y/n is up for it. I'll let you know dude." They bump fists and River closes the door.

He came back to bed and opened his arms to cuddle agin but I was hesitant and he could tell. "What's wrong, y/n?" He asks. "Why did you lie to Wyatt?" I ask him. "Well, I just didn't want to go through a big explanation or for him to assume something happened and it becomes a big deal. If it made its way to Ryan he would just blow it out of proportion. We also just talked what is going on between less than 12 hours ago and I just didn't want to make you uncomfortable. I'm sorry y/n." He says. I smile at him, "I understand, I just thought maybe you were regretting what happened." He grabs my face, "I would never." I blush as he caresses my face. "Did you want to get breakfast with everyone?" He asks me. "I'd rather stay in bed with you all day." I smile and he laughs, "How about you stay in bed and I'll make breakfast and bring it to you and we can watch something in bed?" I nod. "That sounds good." River kisses my forehead before he leaves.

I grab my phone from the night stand and had a voicemail from my mom. I listen you it. Hi honey, it's mom. I was calling to check in and see how your night was. I never heard back from you. I hope it was good. Call me when you get this. I love you!" I really don't feel like talking on the phone so I text her.

Y/n: Hi mom, I got your voicemail. Sorry for not calling back last night. I went to a party at a new friends house. I'll see you guys when you get home tomorrow. Love you!

I set down my phone and get up to use the bathroom. I went in and looked like nothing even happened in there last night. I go to the bathroom and go to wash my hands and look in the mirror and noticed bruises on my neck. I touched them and tears sting my eyes. Why didn't River say anything? I still have to take to the officer today. Ugh. I just wan this to be over. I take down my hair and try to hide the bruises, I leave the bathroom and go back to his room. While I'm waiting for River to come back I decide to check out their channel on YouTube. I look at their most popular video which happens to be 'The Night a DEMON ATTACKED Me/ The Haunted Hill House'  I get under the covers and start watching. They're so goofy all together. River looks cute. The editing is great. I hope nothing happens to them.
