Turning History

Part 4: Unexpected turns

Time period: Ancient History

Through the course of development, it would be inevitable that there would be conflict. History is bound to lose itself at some point, but this would be the point where things are taking a turn. The first major turn was in Terra Magicae, when the World Tree Astaphlyxa went under a massive growth. The what seemed like a bigger than normal tree, grew exponentially into a massive tree that reached into the sky. It causes the region and other nearby regions to shake and tremor. The unnatural phenomenon due to the tree's high concentration and collection of magic caused the region to lose a large amount of magic in the region, but it created a stronger sense of mana and ultimately increased the amount of magic overall. This caused other regions to gain increased curiosity in the region's new phenomenon, most notably beings from the Dark Space. Countless waves of Demons, Spirits and other creatures alike swarmed the region of Terra Magicae. The inhabitants of the region were forced to fight to defend the tree. For what seemed like days, there was constant conflict until an unexpected alliance from the sea appeared. The mostly inactive people of the seas took initiate after their area was being harmed from the fighting above. Together, they pushed off the invaders from the Dark Space and the tree remained strong.

The people that had allied were from an underwater union called "Incolas Venetus", but were also referred to as the Dwellers of the Blue by those on land. The union consisted of species known to be Undine, Mermaids and other various aquatic life. The nation has mastery of sea travel, sea life and various environments. However due to saying in the water for most of their time, they haven't interacted too much with those who dwelled on land and haven't gained as much knowledge on how to grow much.

Due to the recent events, an alliance and acknowledgment was made of the union to keep growing. The other regions acknowledged the recent attack and made preparations to not have a repeat if another invasion were to happen.

The land of the Sun and Heavens would start and develop stronger releases of spiritual energy across the region, and would create a spiral of 15 creatures from the inner region. Those were the Cat, Rabbit, Snake, Horse, Sheep, Tiger, Ox, Monkey, Rat, Rooster, Boar, Dog and Dragon. Those were the original 13 creatures, but two more came from the region causing a bigger impact. They were called the Dragon King Longwang, and the legendary Monkey King Son Wukong. All 15 roamed the land causing chaos, destruction and disrupting balance. Inhabitants of the region had grasped for their land back, until one night after the many weeks, a shaman came. He had liberated and calmed the 13 animals roaming the land, all of which were sealed away. They were known as the Zodiacs, except for the Cat who refused and was sealed away on its own. The remaining Dragon King Longwang was brought back to peace and order by the 12 animas, and returned as the Zodiac's guardian and lead. Finally, they were placed to be sealed away in separate vessels for which would change over time. The last beast Son Wukong, would rebel against all attempts and deny the heavens. As punishment, he was sealed underneath a mountain for several years to come. His spiritual power still covers the mountain, and those who dare to climb it must be brave and have a strong spirit.

The stories and events would later fall into some obscurity as the archives of the history would be lost or stolen. However, peace will be interrupted by more sinister means.

Part 5: Rising Tensions

Time period: Early modern history

As several years have passed since the times of tales and stories, and more regions have grown into existence. The 5th new region of "Eltaria" has risen up, also known as "The Land of Darkness/Shadow". This is where the Dark Space resides and it's known for having many beings and creatures that cannot be in the other regions from their choice, or they physically cannot be there. Dracula's castle has moved over as this place is known for having the greatest amounts of natural darkness. This allows vampires to especially thrive and grow stronger too.  The 6th new region is called "Halnaria" which is next called the "Land of Advancement and Technology". This region has advanced more technologically than the other regions, but has also shared many of its technology to the world. While being a great advancement for the world, it ends up becoming a downfall soon.

For what seemed like a continuing era of advancement and peace, it was seemingly interrupted when an unknown attacker group had hit Terra Magicae and stolen from the Ruler. The attacking group was from Eltaria, inhabitants of the Dark Space. It was specifically Lord Dracula whom was the ruler of Eltaria, alongside the Vampires as a whole. The lord demanded for the ruler to forfeit a part of their region for Eltaria, and the Ruler had refused. The leader of Terra Magicae was Titania, the Fairy Queen along the current Great Sage of the time. The region refused naturally and this sent Dracula to send an army towards the region, starting a war between Eltaria and Terra Magicae. While they fought, the greedy lord took better interest in the Sun and Heavens. Knowing that they have the better advantage with the strongest sunlight, he aimed to take them out first. Releasing a horde of monsters, he attacked the land. In response, they fought back and using their natural power of spiritual energy, held off. One fighter from the battle, would be known as the first Vampire Hunter. With a high spiritual power, they'd face off against Dracula and kill him ending the attack. Unfortunately this was only a temporary death, as while not strong enough to permanently vanquish him, it would put a halt to the attack and push Dracula back to the castle to be returned to full power.

Not long after followed a conflict between the Common Region and Incolas Venetus transpired, causing misunderstandings into fighting. Halnaria would assist the region in combat as they had better tech and combat for the union. As Terra Magicae is allied with the union, they assisted their comrades as this almost turned to a full scaled world war. The Land of Sun and Heavens would put a stop before it got to heated up, by using the Dragon King as a mediating force. After an agreement was in place, the regions stopped fighting and made peace, pushing to more development in combat and defense. All this conflict would not be able to stop one thing, it wouldn't stop Eltaria from trying to claim a place as the rulers of the world.
