Hey, this one is fairly long I am pretty sure, so apologies if you don't like long chapters.

There is swearing in this one again. Just so you know.

Also, for those confused Natalya will start playing for Arsenal halfway through the season (I know that is odd, I messed up the timings.)

Andddd sorry for the slow updates, a lot of the time I have to write in my free periods at school, or at home after work or training at like midnight. I try to update as much as possible.

Anyways, enjoyyy!!

January 24th, 2022 (travel day)

*Third person*

It was finally the day that Natalya had been dreaming about for years, she was absolutely overjoyed. She was packing her final things into an Arsenal duffle bag that had arrived for her a few days ago. It had her name and number on it.

Wright, 7

She couldn't believe she was the new right wing for Arsenal WFC, although she was incredibly nervous. What if the players didn't like her? What if she wasn't good enough for the team?

"What if I embarrass myself in front of Alessia Russo?" Natalya thought.

Natalya loved Alessia Russo, she had for as long as she could remember. Watching her go through the U17's Lionesses, and then making her starting debut for the senior Lionesses team. That was Natalya's dream, to get a Lionesses call up.

Alessia was actually the first female that Natalya had developed a serious crush for. Her gay awakening, she liked to call it. After struggling with her sexual identity for a very long time, Natalya liked to think of Alessia as her savior from a very long and painful journey she had been going through. Just another reason that Natalya loved her so much, Alessia saved her life and she didn't even know it.

Natalya's short, little daydream was interrupted when she heard a knock at her bedroom door and heard the familiar creaking sound that the door made every time it was opened. She will not miss that, that's for sure.

"Are you ready to go Pudge?" Natalya's father asked his daughter softly. He admired her in her black tracksuit with her Arsenal duffle bag on her bed and her suitcase all packed.

"You look so professional." He spoke again, he was so incredibly proud of Natalya although he would never say that. It was his dream to go professional when he was a child, as a goalkeeper. But his dream was short lived when he joined the British Army at 22.

"Thanks Daddy." Natalya said with a smile while walking over to her father embracing him in a long final hug. She didn't know when she would see her family again, so she enjoyed the hug for as long as she could. Her father eventually pulled away and wiped a tear from his cheek.

"God Dad! You aren't crying again, are you?" Natalya joked with her father.

"No, no, of course not. I just have something in my eye that's all. Maybe my eyes are sweating, it's so fucking hot right now. How are you not melting in that trackie?"

Much to Natalya's disgust, her father was right. She was in fact melting and could not wait to get out of the burning city of Brisbane.
