My apologies for being absent again, here is a new chapter!

*Natalya's POV*

Jonas was out on the field, already organising us into two teams of 11 with 5 subs each.

"Ah! Alessia and Natalya, care to join us?" Jonas says looking at us. I look at Alessia and smile.

"Sorry Jonas." We both say together at the same time.

He continues talking about the teams and the aim of todays mock match, he seems to be really concerned about Ella and Ona's chemistry on the field. Honestly, all I have seen is TikTok edits of it at home. It is quite impressive; it reminds me of the chemistry Bree, and I have. God, I miss her so much.

"Team one includes Manu, Leah, Steph... and finally Natalya as your striker." Jonas says while making eye contact with me. Less and I are on different teams, shit.

"Team two includes..." I zone out from him, I'm looking at Alessia and just admiring her. I can't believe I am here right now; I am having a real life pinch me moment.

We all make our way to the pitch where the refs are waiting for us. Leah is captain of our team, and Kim Little is captain of the other. They flip a coin and Lessi gets the kick off. I stand on the edge of the circle just waiting for that whistle to blow. Caitlin is beside me also eagerly waiting.

"Don't let Alessia intimidate you, okay?" She says to me, I'm quite offended.

"She doesn't intimidate me! Are you joking?"

"Not in that way, oh my god. Alessia doesn't intimidate anyone in that way. I mean because you like her, don't let that be a reason not to go hard on her. As soon as the whistle blows, she isn't your girl friend anymore, she is your enemy, just like Jonas said to Lessi about Mary Earps. Use your knowledge on her playing style to your advantage. She doesn't know yours that well, so use that to your advantage as well, okay?"

"Okay, I understand."

"Good. Here we go, the ref is bringing up her whistle."

The whistle blows and I run straight passed Alessia who has just passed the ball backwards to Beth Mead. They manage to pass there way around me, and McCabe attempts a long pass to Alessia, but it is intercepted by Caitlin.

I'm on my bike sprinting past their defensive line as Caitlin launches a ball over my head which lands perfectly in front of me. I quickly tap it softly with my left foot onto my right and smash it as hard as I can into the top corner. The whistle blows.

"Offside!" The ref shouts from behind me, I look up and the linesmen's flag is raised about 5 metres behind me. Caitlin and Leah run up to me and give me a hug.

"Almost a goal in the first five minutes! Holy shit." Leah says with a smile.

We all jog back to the halfway line as Sabrina D'Angelo conducts a free kick which ends up going over half of our heads.

We play for roughly another 25 minutes, coming up to the half an hour mark as Leah sends a lovely through ball to Caitlin who is now running down the right wing looking for an option to pass it to in the box.

"Box it!" I scream at her hoping she knows what I mean, she does.

She sends me the perfect ball landing right on the front of my forehead as a spin my neck around and it finds the back of the net. Naturally, I turn around and look at the ref who is holding his arm to the right indicating a goal. I start running to my teammates to celebrate as Leah jumps into my arms and wraps herself around me.
