Chapter 6

*Alessia's POV*

I was passing the ball back and forth with Steph as I normally do at training, we were having our daily catch-up chats. She was telling me how she had met Natalya in Brisbane and how they flew to London together, that must have been so nice. I was looking around at all the girls watching them doing their own warm-up routines, until someone caught my eye. A young girl with longish brunette hair was sat on the bench putting on her boots with Jonas by her side. They seemed to be engaged in a conversation. She would look up from her boots from time to time to reply to Jonas. Her smile was amazing, it never disappeared. She looked at the rest of the girls and I quickly turned my head away from her, pretending I wasn't staring. Steph passed me the ball and I didn't realize, letting it go past me.

"See something you like?" Steph said to me with a giggle knowing I was distracted. 

"Is that Natalya over there?" I asked ignoring her question, hoping Steph wouldn't make me answer.

"Where? Oh yeah, it is! Glad she got here okay." Steph said while holding her hand above her eyes trying to shield them from the sun. "You excited to meet her Less?"

"Yeah, she seems really cool, and by the looks of it she is pretty too." I said with a giggle. Steph is the only person I can be like this with, she knows basically everything about me. She was there for me when I was struggling with my sexuality, she helped me realize that it is okay to like males and females, and I am not abnormal because of it. Now the whole team knows, and they are okay with it, half of them are gay anyways, so I felt really supported when I came out.

Our conversation was cut short when Jonas told us all to gather round him because he had an announcement for us.

"This is Natalya-Florence, our new signing and number 7." Jonas said as Natalya smiled and waved at all of us. Wow she was beautiful. She caught my eyes wandering down her body and she smirked a bit. I realized I was staring and quickly snapped back into it.

"Make sure to make her feel welcome please ladies, train hard." He added as he left. I was going to approach Natalya, but Leah and Katie beat me to it.

I couldn't stop looking at her, she was so mesmerizing. Her chocolate brown hair shined in the sun, as well as her eyes. Wow, they were so blue, I could get lost in them for hours. Her tanned, smooth skin was perfectly complimented by the dark colours of the Arsenal shirt she was wearing. Her shirt fit her body perfectly, showing off all the right things. Her thighs we big and muscly, so were her calves. I admired all of her.

I looked around and realized I was the only one still standing there, everyone else had gone back to warming up. I turned to Steph, and she was juggling the ball by herself. "She'll be okay for a while." I thought to myself as I approached the trio standing in front of me engaged in a conversation.

"Hi, I'm Alessia." I said confidently. She turned to me, and her eyes looked amazing. The sun did them justice for sure. I realized I was gazing at her and quickly moved my eyes away and looked at Leah and Katie.

"Hi Alessia." She responded softly; her voice deeper than I imagined it to be. I could get used to that. "How are you?" She continued.

"I'm good thank you." I respond. Fuck she makes me nervous. Quick, what else can I say?

"I heard you were staying at mine and Caitlins house, how are you feeling about that?" I politely ask. "How are you feeling about that? What the fuck was that?" I thought to myself in anger.

"Good, thank you. I think we will have a good time." Natalya responds with a smirk. I think she is flirting with me.

"Woah there, easy tiger." Katie says while giggling. I laughed too; her confidence gave me butterflies. I wondered what she was thinking. "You've been here two minutes and you've already made Lessi nervous." She continued. My smile dropped and I shot a stare at Katie. How dare she out me like that.
