It's been 6 months since the divorce. Freshmen Year.
New school. New life. New place. New everything. Some new friends but same old cuts.
"Hey Harry!" Lexi says, "What's your schedule?"
Lexi, the only friend Harry has from his 3 months since this new school. Second semester of the school year just started and he still only has one friend.
"Uh, I have science first period." Harry says.
"That's great! Me too! Science is myyyyy favorite subject!" Lexi exclaims. Harry thought she was kind of annoying but he had no choice since she was the only one who was nice enough to show him around and the only one who's nice enough to actually be his friend.
"Wait, I have no idea where the science room is."
"That's alriiight!! I can show you!" Lexi grabs Harry's arm as she shows him the way and Harry quickly makes sure that his long sleeves don't accidentally roll up and might reveal his cuts.
"Actually..." Lexi stops, "I have to go get something from the library, but the Science room is right down at the hall to your right."
"Wait!" but before Harry can come with Lexi she was already gone off to the library.
"Right down at the hall...." Harry points to the right, "to your right." Harry starts to walk to head down to the Science room, he's got a lot of books in one hand, big backpack on his back and his school laptop on the other hand.
"Watch it, you fucking baby cake." a brunette boy shoves Harry followed by a huge group of boys making him drop all his stuff.
"Haha, what a loser!" another boy said, Harry heard as he picks his stuff up.
Suddenly, a boy with sort of bleached blonde hair helped Harry and took one of his books to give him a hand.
"Hey dude, sorry about my friends. They're kinda assholes." the blonde boy said as he helped Harry stand up. "I'm Niall" he says as he held out his hand for a shake. Harry ignored this thinking Niall might just be playing around and poking fun at him like the rest of his friends.
"Guess not," Niall said and he walks away.
Harry finally found the Science room and sat at the back as usual. He was waiting for Lexi and its almost time for class to start. Harry didn't really talk a lot, or didn't talk at all unless spoken to. Then, there was a loud noise from the door. It was those group of boys again from the hallway cramped up at the entrance.
"See ya soon, lads." said the brunette boy who shoved Harry as he entered the room.
Harry was immediately mesmerized by the boy even if he shoved him, he wasn't denying to himself that this boy is beautiful. He's wearing the school soccer team shirt and had 'Tomlinson' written on the back. Harry guessed he's probably the captain of the soccer team since he was spinning a soccer ball on one finger as he sat down at the front, Harry wasn't sure because he never attended school games too busy studying to make sure he will get a good scholarship to go into a good college so he can move out.
But, this boy was absolutely beautiful he thought though all Harry can do is just stare and stare and stare at him.
"HEY!" Lexi interrupted his thoughts. "You ok?"
"Uh, yeah" Harry cleared his throat.
"You staring at Louis?"
"Lou-who?"
"Tiny jock over there," Lexi joked as he was pretty short for a soccer player.
"Uh no"
"Good cause he ain't gay, honey"
"I-I'm not."
"Sure, whatever"
"We can talk about this later... when no one is around." Harry whispered. Lexi raised her eyebrows in agreement.
Class ended and for the whole 50 minute class, Harry barely even paid attention as he was too busy admiring the back of Louis' head.
"Louis," Harry kept repeating his name in his head the whole time.
"Do you need a ride home again, Harry?" Lexi said. "I'll meet you at the parking lot when school's over. You coming with me for lunch?"
"Yeah thanks and no." Harry said.
"Well, alright. See you in the hallways." Lexi hugs Harry.
Normal day in Harry's life at school. Just one friend, he never even talks to anyone afraid of being discovered, that anxiety that lives inside him he can't ever get rid of. Eight hours in school he has to bear with all he's here for is to study to make sure his future is bright. Then, after hell in school. He has no choice but to go home to the hell in his home. No escape in everywhere he goes, no safe place. Not even himself.
