CHAPTER 3

     WEIRD BUS AND DIAGON ALLEY

Third person POV:

"....what?" Said Mcgonagall, bewildered at what the girl was saying. She expected her to be shocked or even in a state of disbelief. But no she reacted completely different from Mcgonagall's expectations.
"Oh! I'm sorry for interrupting you miss.......So you are saying it's true that witches and wizards do exist ?"
" As a matter of fact , yes Miss Whittle.
Here I'm sure this letter can clear some of your doubts." Saying that she handed a thick yellowish envelope to Aurora.

Second floor , third bedroom
St.Nique's orphanage.

As Aurora started examining the letter she noticed it was sealed with a stam with 'H' in the middle surrounded by a lion , a badger , a snake and an eagle. She tore the envelope open and noticed two letters. She opened the first letter and started reading.

Hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry

Headmaster: Albus Dumbledore (Order of Merlin, First Class, Grand Sorc., Chf. Warlock, Supreme Mugwump, International Confed. of Wizards)

Dear Ms. Whittle

We are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Please find enclosed a list of all necessary books and equipment. Term begins on September 1. We await your owl by no later than July 31.

Deputy Headmistress.

"You are the deputy headmistress!!"
Exclaimed Aurora.
"Indeed I am Miss Whittle. But I also teach transfiguration at Hogwarts." Mcgonagall explained to the girl calmly. She now understood why weird things happened around her. It's because she is a witch and she can do magic. Then she started reading the next letter.

Hogwarts school of Witchcraft and Wizardry

UNIFORM First-year students will require: 1.Three sets of plain work robes (black) 2.One plain pointed hat (black) for day wear 3.One pair of protective gloves (dragon hide or similar) 4.One winter cloak (black, with silver fastenings) Please note that all pupil's clothes should carry name tags.

COURSE BOOKS All students should have a copy of each of the following:

A Beginner's Guide to Transfiguration by Emeric Switch

The Dark Forces: A Guide to Self-Protection by Quentin Trimble

Other equipment

1 wand

1 cauldron (pewter, standard size 2)

1 set glass or crystal phials

1 telescope

1 set brass scales

Students may also bring an owl OR a cat OR a toad.

PARENTS ARE REMINDED THAT FIRST YEARS ARE NOT ALLOWED THEIR OWN BROOMSTICK.

" Wow..." Aurora breathed out purely out of amazement.
"So....Is Hogwarts just like a boarding school?"
"Yes it is." She said and let the girl process all the information dumped on her.
"I'll leave you alone for tonight and I'll come tomorrow to take you to a place where you can buy all the things you need." Wishing Aurora a good evening, Mcgonagall went out of the orphanage and disappeared with a pop.

Aurora's POV:
After Miss Mcgonagall went away , I went to Mrs. Willson's office to inform her about Miss Mcgonagall's departure.
"So are you going to the boarding school that she was talking about?" Questioned Mrs. Willson.
"What?...Oh! Yes of course.She said she'll come pick me up tomorrow to buy all school stuff." I reckon she doesn't know about all this magic stuff so I went along with her.
After having my dinner I decided to go to bed . I couldn't sleep for long time because mind was filled with stuff like 'what will be the school like?
Are all the students there just like me?will I even be able to make any friends?
Maybe I should get a cat as pet....'
At last I fell asleep after 2 hours of continuous thinking.

Time skip to next day.

Next day I was eagerly waiting for Miss Mcgonagall pacing around the room when Mrs. Willson called me down.I rushed downstairs to find Miss Mcgonagall waiting for me.
"Good morning Miss Mcgonagall."
"Good morning Miss Whittle. Are you ready to go?"I nodded my head and started following her out. After a good distance from the Orphanage, she started speaking.
"Miss Whittle, we will be going to a place called Diagon alley to buy all your school necessities.We can reach there through apparation; which is like teleporting as muggles call it and no you won't be able to do it but I will or through Knight bus; a bus for any standard witch or wizard to travel. Since this is the only time I will be escorting you we will take the knight bus so you know how to reach Diagon alley next time on your own."
"Yes, mam." I replied after her long speech.
" To abord the knight bus you have to stick your hand with the wand in air like this."
Just after she did that a purple coloured double decker bus stood in front of us. We climbed into the bus and  Miss Mcgonagall took tickets for us to the place called 'Leaky cauldron'...I think that's what she said.

Time skip.

The bus ride was horrible!!! Honestly I can feel my breakfast ready to come out from my mouth.
We walked into the Leaky cauldron': which was just a pub with weird looking people everywhere. She led me to the back of the pub where there was a.....wall?? The hell??Did this old lady just lead me to a wall? Oh wait-
She started tapping the wall with her wand in a pattern and just like the wall started to move. The wall opened to a place called Diagon alley which was just so......MAGICAL.

Sorry for publishing this chapter so late guys . But is a little longer than others. I try to publish a little earlier I promise .
Did I mention Aurora is the age same as Ginny? I guess not.....sorry😅....so yeah her course books also has Gilderoy Lockheart's books. I didn't mention earlier in the chapter through the letter because I just copy pasted the letter from Google😅😅...Hope you had a nice read!!
