Denis and Albert stared at each other for a moment. "I'll take the couch," Denis offered. Albert laughed "I appreciate the offer but I think you're a bit tall for the couch, besides I'm asking for too much already."

"No seriously it's fine, I'm sure I'll manage," Denis insisted and Albert just rose his eyebrow. Denis sighed "alright but if you're uncomfortable or anything like that, tell me."

"I will" Albert laughed and shook his head, exiting the room after scooping up a few spare blankets Denis offered him. Albert had set up his bedding and  took a pillow from the couch to use. He then pulled his shirt over his head, reaching for Denis' clothes.

"Hey Albert, did you need anything else before I.. Uhm" Denis stopped dead in his tracks at the sight of Albert. Standing there in the pitch black living room, with just the fluorescent glow of the moonlight that shone through the tall windows, emphasising all the dips and crevices of his perfectly toned chest. His silky hair fell around his eyes, and his eyes, oh my god his eyes. The soft gaze he held,  and the moonlight reflecting within them, contrasting against his dark melancholy irises. Denis felt breathless all of a sudden, he wanted to stop time and live in this moment forever.

"Before you..?" Albert stared, confused. Denis cleared his throat, looking away. "Before I go to bed."

"Oh right, no I'm all good for the moment." Albert smiled, "see you in the morning?"

"Yeah, of course" Denis ushered breathlessly. "See you then," and then Denis turned around, walking back into his room. Denis remained silent as he slid into bed, still replaying the image in his head, one he knew he couldn't possibly ever forget. In the living room, Albert shook off the weird encounter and chucked the lended clothes on, noticing how they slung looser on his frame than they would on Denis'.

Closing their eyes, they both went to sleep.

Albert woke up, sluggish as he rubbed his eyes and sat himself up. As he did so heard a few of his stiff
joints pop, most likely caused by his sleeping arrangements. Groaning, he looked around but it was still pitch black, then he heard it. Music coming from next door. Obnoxious, loud music making its way through the thin walls of Denis' apartment. Albert noted that that must have been what had woken him up. He then heard yelling and shouting, guessing it was some sort of rave and nothing serious, he tried to lay back down and get some sleep. However, the rowdy teens next door had different plans. Groaning once again, Albert tried smothering himself with the pillow in an attempt to block out the noise but to no avail. After 30 minutes of desperately trying to ignore the ruckus, he decided it wasn't going to stop anytime soon.

Lifting himself from the couch, he made his way to Denis' door, his feet pattering against the wooden floorboards. Placing his hand on the cold doorknob, he twisted it and stepped inside. Making his way to the side of Denis' bed, he observed his sleeping figure. His eyes were shut delicately, his eyebrows relaxed and mouth slightly agape. His slight stubble littered his chiseled jawline along with his moustache that seemed to frame his pink tinted lips perfectly. Albert let his eyes roam Denis' face for a moment, taking in the man before him. Albert knew he was an attractive guy the moment he laid eyes on his, but now, it felt... Albert looked back to Denis' eyes, only to see them open and staring at him, questioningly.

"Shit!" Albert jumped back, causing Denis to sit up slowly, his body still feeling lethargic from the sleep. "Albert, what the hell are you doing?" Denis rubbed his eyes. "You scared the hell out of me!" Albert said accusingly. "Me? You're the one standing over the side of my bed watching me sleep"

"I-" Albert then found himself feeling extremely embarrassed. Denis then chuckled, "I should have been the one asking you if you were a serial killer." Then there was silence for a moment. "I'm sorry I just, there was this party going on next door and it's very loud from the living room." Albert admitted. "Again? Those kids are damn annoying." Denis grumbled. "Sorry, I should have warned you about them, they usually host their parties over the weekends."

"No, it's okay.." Albert mumbled back. Silence again.

"Well I can move to the couch, I've gotten used to their rowdiness by now," Denis said as threw the covers off himself, beginning to step out of bed.

In that moment, he wasn't sure why he said it, and he would have liked to blame it on his sleepiness although in hindsight, he knew that simply wasn't true. "We could sleep together?" Albert let out meekly. Denis simply blinked at him. "Not like that of course, I just, the couch was uncomfortable for me even so I can't imagine how it'd be like for you." Albert rushed to say.

Denis nodded, "well okay, sure, you can hop in." Albert hesitated before shuffling his way around to the other side of the bed before awkwardly sliding into the spot next to Denis. Denis rested back into his own spot and turned his back to Albert as Albert did the same. Some time passed and both of the men were wide awake, unsure if the other was enduring the same crisis as they were. Tension in the room seemed to elevate dramatically. Albert heard Denis sigh, before feeling the matrice dip as he flipped over and wrapped his toned arm around Albert, pulling him in towards his chest. Albert's heartbeat began to speed up, and he hoped to god Denis couldn't notice. Then Albert heard the light snores coming from him, feeling his light breath against the back of his neck. Suddenly, the noise from next door began to drown out, his heart calmed and he began to feel drowsy. He felt safe for the moment, and even though this situation was definitely one to be questioned, he couldn't bring himself to care enough in order to do so. After mere moments later, he relaxed himself and allowed his body to fit perfectly together with Denis'. Not long after, all that could be heard in the room was their soft snores.
