A month later
Theia's pov
"Blackwidow was part of the red room and she made it out alive. Then she also became a part of the Avengers!" I argued with Simon, Clary's friend.
Let me explain. After I found my deadbeat father dead, I was taken in by Jocelyn, my dad's old friend I hadn't seen in five years, who was also apparently marked as my godmother. Clary is Jocelyn's daughter.
"Captain America literally fought in the World War 2 and sacrificed himself! He also-" he got interrupted by Clary who walked into the Cafe with a sad expression which could mean only one thing. She didn't get in.
"Give me the professors' names and I... I will end them." He said making both me and Clary look at him with raised eyebrows. " You know, with... with a scathing e-mail to the dean." He continued.
That's more like it
"Don't bother" she said, handing Simon a letter which made Simon smirk and fist-bump her.
"What? The sad face? Really? Well played, well played."
"Hey! What does it say!"
"It says congratulations. She got in Cass." He told me with a smile.
I turned to her with a small smile on my face "What no way! Congrats Clare you deserve it!"
"Thank you. You know, it's weird. They kind of liked my assigned work, but they flipped out over the drawings for our graphic novel."
Simon and I smiled at each other and bumped our fists, after all, it was us who snuck those in there, who had snuck those in there.
"You're welcome!"
"This day will go down in history as the greatest 18th birthday I ever had."
"This will go down as the only 18th birthday you'll ever have," I told her.
"Which is why we are celebrating tonight. Yes, with Maureen, after our show."
"Dam I wish I could come... except for the drinking part."
"Absolutely, and no way Cass. You're too young." Clary told me.
"So... what's the deal with you and Maureen?" She continued turning to Simon.
"What deal? No deal. We sing together."
"You seriously don't know she's been crushing on you this whole time?"
Dam Clary, you seriously don't know he's been crushing on you this whole time?
"What? No. No."
"Simon, how can someone as smart and perceptive as you not realize that the person sitting right there is in love with you?"
"I guarantee you I'm not the only smart, perceptive person to make that mistake."
I wanted to bang my head against a wall. Even Percy's not as oblivious as these two.
Clary looked down confused at a biscotti drawing. I'm sorry wasn't that an actual biscottia few minutes ago?
"That's a latte," Simon informed.
" But I could have sworn I had a biscotti."
"Maybe you ate it really fast and didn't even notice. Happens to me all the time. When I'm happy... when I'm sad. "
Clary remained silent, still staring at the drawing.
"But I will replace your mythical biscotti with an actual one." He told her giving her his biscotti.
