"MOM! YOU ARE NEVER GOING TO BELIEVE WHAT HAPPENED!" I said getting out of the car and hitting the door closed. "Hi sweetie, I've missed you too,"my mom said giving me a hug.

My mom didn't pick me up from camp(luckily since I was most likely to make a scene) instead it was Phillip, a family friend.

"My summer boyfriend just broke up with me so please tell me you have a huge tub of chocolate ice cream!" I said angrily while opening the front door. I threw my bag on the couch and went to check in the fridge. Luckily there was a large tub of chocolate ice cream patiently waiting for me to devour it. I grabbed the tub and went to the living room where mom was talking to Phillip.

"Ok so mom sit down and listen to my problems." She looked back at me looking worried.

"Honey I have something to tell you." She said holding my hand but I wasn't in the mood to listen. It's probably bad news either way because the last time she said that statement her and dad were getting divorced which I didn't handle really well. But that was like 10 months ago and I was still immature and young. I've grown up since then.

"Go on."I said mindlessly enjoying my ice cream.

"Honey, I....uh....I"

"Wait, what's that on your hand?"

"It's what I wanted to talk about."

"That's a freaking 24 carat diamond engagement ring and it's not the one dad gave you."

"I'm engaged."

"You're kidding me!" I said standing up. Ok it makes sense why there was chocolate ice cream waiting for me.

"I'm not honey. I'm getting married."

"It's been less than a year."

"What can I say? Love?"

"Love?" I turned to look at Phillip," How could you let her do this? Did she bribe you?"

"Actually," he said moving closer to my mom and putting his hand around her waist,"she did. Only with her beauty and personality."

"I think I'm gonna throw up."

"Honey try to respect my decision."

"I'm happy that you found love and all but, him?" I said looking at Phillip.

"What's wrong with him?"

"Yes he's hot. I can't deny that but really? He's your childhood friend. He married your sister and made a child with her."

"Sheila is ok with us. Infact she's the one who hooked us up and told us to go for it."

"Ok you beat that but try beating this. He was your divorce lawyer and now that I think about it could have been the reason for the divorce."

"Ok stop this now! Respect my decision. And also the man I'm gonna spend the rest of my life with."

"Yeah yeah like you didn't promise the same thing to dad."

"Honey I'm serious."

"Fine. Welcome to the family which you were already part of Phil and I'm happy for you mom." I said while hugging her. "Now sit down and listen to my horrible summer breakup story."

She did and I told her everything. That's me and my mom's relationship. We play a lot and argue more than we talk but in the we act like teenage girls. Well I'm a teen but my mom just goes with the flow.

"Ok so where are you moving to?" She said at the end of my very sad story.

"Well I can move in with dad or get a sugar daddy somewhere."
