The soft glow from the nursery room's lights spilt down the hallway. The room, painted in calming pastel shades, held the promise of joy, dreams, and life yet to come. Eda felt the weight of her belly, heavily pregnant with their baby girl, and took a deep breath as she stood at the bottom of the stairs, the ascent seeming much steeper than usual.

Serkan noticed her hesitation and swiftly approached her, offering his arm for support. "One step at a time, askim," he whispered.

Guiding her gently, they slowly made their way up the stairs, each step a testament to their shared journey. Once at the top, Serkan opened the nursery door, revealing a room that spoke of hope, dreams, and much love. The crib, adorned with soft sheets, plush toys, and a tiny mobile hanging above, waited patiently for its occupant.

They stood together, taking in the sight, imagining their little one playing, laughing, and growing up in that room. Eda's eyes wandered over the crib, the changing table, the tiny clothes hung neatly in the wardrobe, and her vision blurred as tears welled up.

Serkan, ever so observant, felt her shoulders shake slightly and looked down to see her tears. "Askim, what's wrong?" he asked tenderly, cupping her face.

Eda looked into his deep, comforting eyes and whispered, her voice shaky, "I'm just afraid. I want our baby to be healthy. I'm afraid that something might go wrong."

Hearing her voice quiver, a lump formed in Serkan's throat. He cradled her face with the utmost gentleness, leaning his forehead against hers. "Baby," he murmured, "nothing will happen. You have to believe. The three of us will be together in this very room in just a few weeks. Nothing will separate us. Everything will be fine."

He slowly knelt, pressing his lips to her swollen belly, feeling the faint flutter of their baby inside. "Baby girl," he whispered, his voice choked with emotion, "did you make your mama cry?"

Standing up, he gently embraced Eda, their hearts beating in unison. Leaning down, he kissed her with a love that was deep, reassuring, and filled with promise. "Everything will be fine," he repeated, sealing the promise in that sacred space of hope and love.

They continued their quiet journey together, hand in hand, from the nursery to their bedroom. The ambience outside reflected their hearts: peaceful, gentle, and bathed in the soft hues of twilight. A palpable serenity enveloped them, and they silently headed to their en-suite bathroom.

The warm water from the shower cascaded over them, washing away Eda's fears and the day's weight. They helped each other, with Serkan being particularly gentle around her belly, ensuring she felt comfortable and loved. The intimacy of this simple act bound them even closer, reaffirming their shared commitment to each other and their unborn child.

After the shower, Eda, clad in her soft, pastel pyjamas, settled onto the edge of their bed. Her damp hair cascaded down her back, and Serkan, without a word, took a brush and gently ran it through her locks. The soothing rhythm of the brush strokes, combined with the soft glow of the bedside lamp, was hypnotic.

Once her hair was tangling-free, Serkan's hands transitioned from brushing to gently massaging her tense shoulders. Eda sighed deeply, leaning back into him, feeling his warmth, strength, and unspoken promise of unwavering support. As he kneaded away the knots, Serkan buried his face in the crook of her neck, taking in the scent of her freshly washed hair.
