When we got upstairs, Mason closed the door at the top of the stairs.
"I don't want to do this, not where they can hear."
"Relax. The walls, floor, and door are all soundproof. Nobody can hear you but me."
I took a deep breath. "I was raised by wild wolves. As you already probably know, I am were, but something else. Do you know what else I am?" He shook his head slowly. I sighed. "Then this is going to take longer than you may have thought..."
"Okay, I understand. Begin when you're ready." I took a deep breath, and began.
"So, I honestly don't know the whole story. But here's what I do know. My mother was a coyote. A hunter saved her life, and I think she wished every shooting star to be human. One night, she was caught trespassing on a witches land. The witch turned her to a Walker, but she could only be in her human form for a week every month. My father, whom she met after the hunter set her free, was a werewolf alpha. They fell in love, and then there was me. My father died, and my mother was so heartbroken that she called one of my father's pack members to take me in. They were only able to do so for a few months. After I had my first change, they told me to stay in my wolf form and they took me to the nearest wild wolf pack. The pack they gave me to raised me. I have no idea where my mother is, or if she's even alive. My pack was taken by humans, and now," I took another deep breath, because hot tears threatened to come and ruin my compsure. "And now I'm inbetween. I just, I don't belong anywhere."
