Alejandro POV:This was a surprise.
More like an unwanted surprise, but I knew this had to happen anyway.
My father drops his brief case, and I could see his lip slightly quiver as he does another look at me.
"Hola Papa, didn't expect to see me so soon?" I say as I reach out towards him.
He shakes his head and rushes towards me, grabbing onto me for dear life as if I'll disappear again.
"Alejandro mi hijo, I'm so sorry." His voice now shaking, and I knew he meant it.
I've never seen my dad so distraught before.
My eyes glance over at Carlos, to see him grounded in place, not being able to look away from our dad.
"Papi, it's okay! I understand you only did it for my best interests." I quietly say as I pat him on the back, just like how I had to do with my mother not to long ago.
He continues to shake his head and then pulls himself back and looks me dead in the eyes.
"This all could've been fixed if I just listened to you. We could've saved Heather months ago, but I was to stubborn and selfish. I'm sorry Alejandro."
I slowly nod my head and give my father a small smile.
"Not everyone is perfect. I had to learn that the hard way." I say while remembering all of the mistakes I've made with Heather.
My father gives me one last nod before grabbing his brief case off the ground and marching inside.
Both Carlos and I give each other a confused look but follow him in.
We follow him into his office, which now has pictures of Heather and I from this past season.
"When did you put these here?" I ask picking the one picture off his bookcase of us winning the first challenge.
A small smile forms on my lips as I see the bright smile on her lips as we both celebrate our win.
"About a month or two ago. I like that picture, it shows the true colors of the both of you." My father stands next to me also looking down at the photo.
I set down the picture frame and take a seat next to Carlos.
"Do you even have a plan to get her back?" My brother asks as he looks at the other photo of us on his desk.
I shake my head and pinch the bridge of my nose.
"No, not yet. Things became a little bit more complicated when I saw her last." "Wait, when did you see her?" My father's ears perked up.
"A couple days ago." Silence fills the room, and I look over to see my father and Carlos giving me a questioning look.
"It's a long story." I say as I pick up the photo of my family off of his desk.
We all looked so happy, except for José. Go figure.
"Did it not work or something?" I shake my head and put the photo down.
"She said she couldn't go with me."
Neither of them dared to say a word as they realized what I just said.
"She didn't want to put anyone in danger, which is quite ironic since she always wanted to put everyone in that position on the show." I laugh at the last part remembering all of the things she has done during Total Drama.
