CHAPTER 3

I managed to get out the water and dry off before my dad arrived back from the restroom. I really love being a mermaid because I've never had a secret that I never really told anyone about it.. I always would tell my mom or tell my dad or my sister this I just cant tell anyone about what if they start treating me different what if they don't trust me anymore or love me anymore I just can't have that happened. " Are you ready to go home kid sorry it took me so long in the restroom there was a long line." " It's OK daddy I'm ready yo go home its getting kinda of cold here." " Yeah it is so what do u want to do now?" My dad ask me as he picked me up and put me in my car seat. " I want to go home because I'm tired." "OK let's go !!" Its was a 1 hour drive there and I feel asleep in the car. When we got to my dads house I woke up because I am the type of person from when someone touches me im quick to get up. My daddy's house is big it is a 2 story house with 4 bedrooms. I love this house because I have my own room that my dad made for me so that I have a place to sleep but he made it just for me.

As soon as I stepped in the house it smelled likes pomegranate lemonade it smells so good its just a strong smell! I went upstairs to the shower so that I can be a mermaid again.But when I got in the water my tail didn't come I started to grow scales on my right and left arms. I was very confused because when I was at the bay I had a tail but now all I have is scales WHAT IS GOING ON!!! I screamed but then I remembered that my dad was here and that he couldn't find out that I was a mermaid.All of a sudden I heard big foot steps leaping up the stairs towards the bathroom. " Lexi are you OK in there?" I couldn't tell my dad so I had to lie to him.

" Yeah dad I'm OK I saw a spider!!" I hate lying to my dad but its all that I could do. " Hurry up so you can eat your dinner its getting cold." When I was done in the shower I went downstairs to eat my dinner. We had myy favorite spaghetti a d meatballs. I had to wear a long sleeve night shirt to hide my scales! It seems that when I turned back into a human my scales didn't go away this is really hard to hide because it was SO hot here and I'm burning up." Go ey why are you wearing that shirt is it cold in here?" " Nooooo I'm just tied I'm going to bed good night daddy." I said as I ran to my room I took off the shirt and put on another one. This was not going to be easy.
