We rode on the car to school singing the whole way. Jason plugged his ears as Katie and I sang at the top of our lungs.

I actually kind of liked this song.

We pulled up to school and got out the car.

"Look it's Nerd Girl trying to be pretty?" Lindsey shrieked with laughter.

Trying? I'm perfecting it.

I just looked at her and kept walking with Katie and Jason.

"Did you hear me, Nerd?" She taunted.

I twirled around.

"Yeah I heard you." I answered.

"Keep trying to be as pretty as me, you'll never do it." She said as she flipped her hair.

"If I was trying to be as pretty as you, I'd wear my grandma's clothes and put on clown make-up." I retorted.

She gasped and strutted away.

Jason and Katie laughed as she fell in the middle of a strut and tried to pick herself up, but fell down again.

Everyone started laughing and Lindsey ran in embarrassment.

Katie and I high-fived.

"Finally! she got what she deserved!" Katie yelled.

"Hey babe!" A guy said coming up behind Katie.

He had blond hair and his skin was pale white. A black lip ring was on his lip and his eyes were a nice blue.

He looked at me as if he didn't know I was there before.

"Who is this?" He asked smiling at me.

"That is-" Katie started.

"Jackson?" I asked as I stared at him.

"Hey Ashie." He said opened his arms.

I lunged into him, and hugged him.

"I haven't seen you since preschool!" I exclaimed.

All he did was nod and hold me tighter.

We were holding each other so long that Jason and Katie cleared their throats.

We let go of each other, but still stood close.

"How do you know Jackson?" Katie and Jason asked at the same time.

"We were best friends in preschool." We both answered.

I looked at him and giggles and he smiled at me.

Jason was red in the face, and he stormed off.

I was going after him when Katie grabbed my arm and said, "Let him be alone."

Jason POV

The connection they had angered me. I only knew her for a short time, but he knew her since they were kids!

I feminine hand touched my shoulder, and thinking it was Ashley, I turned around blindly and kissed her.

A sound between and gasp and a cry was heard behind me, and I turned around.

Ashley stood there, hand over her mouth and tears in her eyes.

If Ashley was right there, then who was over here?

I turned around to see Lindsey smirking at me.

"I thought she was you!" I said to Ashley.

She just shook her head and ran away.

"So you do have feelings for me, I knew it!" Lindsey yelled.

"The only reason I kissed you was because I thought you were Ashley, and trust me, I'll never do it again." I said wiping my lips.

I walked away to find Ashley, leaving Lindsey behind me.
