Its Violet, not Red.

I step out into the soft morning air while throwing my headphones into my ears. I walk off the porch and begin my run. Going to live with my insanely rich aunt for the summer was not part of my plans. She lives by herself but in a huge beach house in California.
I was planning on spending my summer at an internship, which I worked my butt off in school so I could get a scholarship for, in New York. My parents aren't the richest, heck we are barely considered middle class. My aunt Lacey on the other hand got the perfect life, the only reason I am here is because my family needed more money and my aunt had a job here helping her fashion studio where snobby girls decided to pretend they have talent in clothing.
I didn't want to go at all, but she still needs my help, and was willing to pay so my parents shipped me off to California to help her out, despite my arguments to stay for my internship.
I just arrived an hour ago and hate it already. I make my way down a road which holds houses of the same color and shape. It makes me sick. Stopping for a second to tie my shoe, I stand up and am suddenly pushed over with a slight scream gracing from my lips. I have a body of insane muscles on top of me squishing my small body into the ground.
"You are so lucky!" Muscles on top of me says. "Oh really? Well would you like to stop crushing me anytime now!?!" I say rather harshly while trying to shove him off of me. "Oh, uhm, yeah, sorry!" He says flabbergasted while rushing to get up. He stands to his full height and holds out his hand. Being, well me, I stand up without his help.
"So what did I do to deserve the pleasures of you crushing me this fine morning?" I say sarcastically wiping invisible dirt off of my now bruised legs. Tall muscles laughs, "well considering you almost got hit by a car, I think you should be happy I saved you and say thank you." He smirks, dimples showing, and I finally look up to see Muscles in all his Greek God glory.
Tall, black hair, muscular, dimples, and stunning blue eyes. Making me feel like a piece of dirt under his shoe. "Uh, well thanks?" I say quickly while turning to walk away. "Wait! What's your name Red?" He asks, pulling my arm to make me turn around. "Red? How creative." I say glaring at him crossing my arms over my chest.
"Well I mean, you have red hair and I-" "I get it!" I say cutting him off. "It's Violet, Violet Rey." I say watching his smirk turn into a small smile. "Nice name. I'm Sam Bishop." He says holding out his hand. I nod in acknowledgment and turn to walk away but not before hearing Sam yell "see you soon Red!" I turn but he is already gone, done with his crap, I start my run again, but all that is on my mind is his last name, Bishop.
Walking into the front door of my aunt's elaborate house, I am greeted with the smell of chocolate chip cookies flowing from the kitchen. "Smells great aunt Lacey." I say taking my shoes off and walking into the kitchen.
My aunt is bustling around trying to get everything together. "Uhm aunt Lacey?" I say. "Oh! Gosh Vi, I'm sorry I have an important dinner tonight with a friend of mine, she only visits for the summer and I haven't seen her in so long! I just want everything to go perfectly!" She says rushing around everywhere.
"Well do you need any help?" I ask carefully. "Oh yes, yes please! Can you set the table or something?" "Yeah, that will be no problem." I grab the plates and silverware while walking into the dinning room. I set the plates down on the huge oak table with the silverware.
I set everything up in an orderly fashion which I learned from my years of working at the downtown dinner at home. Just when I'm finished my aunt walks in. "Violet it looks great!" She says. "Thanks. I'm going to go take a shower if that's okay?" "Yes. If you need me I'm down here alright?" I nod my head and go upstairs.
I slip out of the shower and take in my reflection in the foggy mirror. Sighing at the dull red hair and puffy cheeks I put on my pajamas. I close the door to the bathroom and flop onto my bed combing out my long locks and flipping my TV on to play the show The 100 relaxing for a nice long night.

Waking up alert from my rest I look at the clock my eyes ablaze with the realization that I am late! I run downstairs in a rush with my black knee length boots in one hand and black hand bag in the other. I rush to get my makeup done and my hair out of its rats nest while throwing my dark denim jeans, red sweater, and white scarf on. Looking at the time, my blue eyes almost fly out of their sockets. I'm an hour late! Grabbing an apple and my keys to my crappy car, I rush out the door.

Arriving at the studio was no problem, getting in without being caught for being late is another problem. I slide inside of the glass doors and make it to the elevator with no problem, until someone puts their hand in the door.
Being nosey, I try to see who stopped it until they popped their whole body in. "Nice to see you are on time, Violet." My aunt smirks. "I'm so sorry I slept in and forgot!" I say apologetically. "It's okay I just have a few errands for you to run." I nod my head while she continues.
"Take this paper to the Bishop company down the street and have the head personnel sign it. Just say you're Violet Rey and making a run for Miss. Carpenter and they will send you up. Then bring it back to me as soon as possible. Afterwards we can go to lunch. Okay?" She asks me. "Yah, but where is the Bishop company?" "I will give you the address then you can just drive down there."

I finally arrive at the company after getting lost many times. I walk up to the huge building which must of coast a fortune and walk inside slowly. I walk up to the front desk and the lady asks me if I have an appointment. "Uh, no I'm Violet Rey and I'm making a delivery for Miss. Carpenter?" I say but it comes out more as a question. "Oh yes, I'm sorry Miss go right on up. Mrs. Bishop is waiting for you." She says with a smile. I nod my head and go to the elevator. I rush to stop it from going up before I'm in it.
When I walk in I'm met with Muscles from a couple of days ago. "Why hello Red." He smirks, his eyes a clear shinning, blue. "Muscles." I reply. "Muscles? Hmm I like it." He says flexing his arms.
"Oh please! Don't flatter yourself." I say rolling my eyes while the doors are opening for me to get off. He gets off as well. "Where are you headed to Red?" He asks catching up to me. "It's Violet to you and none of your business." He laughs a little and keeps walking with me.

I knock on the door to Mrs. Bishops door but Muscles decides to just barge in. "Sam! How many times do I have to tell you and your father to not walk in when I'm about to have a me- oh you have company! Hello, I'm Mrs. Bishop." Mrs. Bishop smiles brightly, her shiny blonde hair, and smile reflect the buildings glory.
Realization hit me only then that Mrs. Bishop is Sam's mom, that's how I knew the last name, my aunt talks about Mrs. Bishop all the time.
"Uhm, sorry to interrupt but I'm Violet Rey and I have a paper from Miss. Carpenter-" I start to say. "Oh dear your aunt is a sweet lady! Here let me see it so I can sign it and she can get the deal she has been waiting for." She smiles brightly.
"Sorry to ruin this happy moment but mom when did you ever get the okay from me to make me go to this stupid charity in a month??" Sam asks rudely.
"Sam, honey, just because Sadie isn't with you anymore doesn't mean that you have to hide in your room still. It's been two weeks Sam, she cheated, it's over, get over it." Sam didn't seem to like her answer as he gave Mrs. Bishop a dirty look, shoved me out of the way, and slammed her door shut.
