10: Halloween

Before the Halloween decor came to life, Lila and Matteo were kissing.

"You know... I've liked someone for quite a while now." Matteo confessed to keep Lila distracted.

"Oh! It's Zoe, isn't it?" She said pushing him away bummed.

"Don't make that face."

"What face? I'm not making any face." She crossed her arms.

"You may be good at lying, but I know you Lila. What's wrong? Why are you releasing so many akumas?"

"You know very well it's because of Marinette, Matteo."

"What did she do to you?" Matteo said with his hands on her shoulders.

"It's just not fair. She gets to have all of this friends and she never accepted me as one of them. She has a nice family. Sometimes I wish I could have a mom like the one that she has." Lila said jealous.

"Then maybe you could just talk to her Farfalla, don't you think?"

"You don't understand anything, do you?" Lila rolled her eyes.

"So, what are you gonna do about it? Release more akumas until...?"

"Until I win."

"Win what?" He asked concerned.

"Until I win seeing her as miserable as I am."

"You're... miserable?" He chuckled.

"Says who?! You're in big trouble young man!" Lila threatened him.

"Oh? I'm in trouble now?"

"I can be a bigger nightmare than you could possible imagine." She continued threatening her.

"Prove it." Matteo challenged her speaking with poise.

"Nooroo, dark wings rise!" Said Lila, but she wasn't transforming.

"I'm missing the point here." Matteo said.

"No! Where is it?" Lila said looking for the butterfly miraculous fearing she had lost it.

"Oh you mean this little pin over here? Let's see if it actually works? Nooroo, dark wings rise!" Said Matteo transforming into a supervillain.

"What have you done?! You... You... Used me?! You picked pocketed me?" Lila said looking at Matteo shocked at what he has done.

"Don't worry my dear, sweet Lila. From now on... I'll... Be Hawk Moth. And you... You're gonna become my puppet. Just like I was back in Italy. Checkmate." Matteo said with poise.

"I thought we were friends." Lila sobbed.

"People like us, don't... have... friends."

"What is Zoe gonna think about you now? Now that she'll know you're Hawk Moth?"

"She won't know anything of the sort. I'll just make everyone believe... that you're still Hawk Moth." Matteo said with a mocking tone.

"What are you gonna do, Matteo?" Asked Lila scared.

"Isn't it obvious?"

"Try to get back with Zoe? She's in love with Luka, dude!"

"I don't care about her anymore."

"Then what's the point? You wanted to step on me and you already did. What else do you want?"

"What everyone wants... Power." He said with a mischievous smile.

"You're... you're... insane!" Lila screamed at him.

"Oh, and you aren't?" Matteo joked around.
