Narrator pov. At the Yukinawa residence~
"Kirimura Takeshi-kun! Hurry up or we'll be late for meeting your friends at the cafe!" Yoru called out from downstairs to the kid who was taking his time changing.
It was a weekend, so this meant the promised sign language lessons for the kids and they were getting late.
Takeshi finally appeared on top of the stairs as he got down to her.
"What was taking so long?" she asked with a head tilt.
Takeshi looked embarrassed and looked down, **I... was reading the new book Yoru-neesan bought me and didn't notice the time.**
Yoru blinked before smiling, "So you liked it that much huh? Oh well, at least you changed in time, let's go." She took her car keys along with the house keys before they both got out of the house and are now driving to the cafe in Beika.
Time skip to when they get there~
Yoru's car parked at the cafe before they both got out and went inside.
"Welcome!" came from the counter before the staff member actually saw her, "Oh Yukinawa-san!"
Yoru smiled and waved, "Ohayo, Enojima-kun." She then increased her volume to add, "Ohayo Minna!"
Everyone from the back and some waitresses replied, "Ohayo, Yoru/Yukinawa/-chan/-san!"
Takeshi smiled as he heard that, Yoru sure was popular in her workplace, not that that's surprising considering what he knew about her now.
And then they heard Ayumi from one of the tables, "Yoru-Oneesan! Takeshi-kun! Over here!" They looked over to see her waving with the two boys beside her.
They went over and sat down then Yoru said, "Ohayo, you three. Sorry we're late, we lost track of time." The kids smiled and replied, "It's ok!"
Ayumi added, "But can we start those lessons now? I wanna be able to talk to Takeshi-kun!" The boys agreed, "Me too!"
Yoru giggled while Takeshi just rubbed the back of his head, kind of embarrassed.
She nodded, "Hai, hai. We're starting now, so pay attention." She started by teaching the easiest and most basic signs with Takeshi's help.
Though Genta messed up a lot, they were learning pretty fast, especially Mitsuhiko who seemed pretty happy with the lesson.
(When you don't know shiz about sign language: Oof. TwT)
At the end of the lesson, they got hungry so Yoru asked for someone to come take their order, saying she'll pay.
The kids picked up on that offer and ordered a lot of food.
Takeshi and Yoru sweatdropped.
'That was expected of Genta but I didn't think the other two can eat that much too... I mean Genta is eating more but...' Takeshi thought as he looked up at Yoru with pity.
Yoru sighed before she took out the special employee discount card, having no choice but to use it if she didn't want to lose all her money, even though she didn't like to use it, neither did any other staff member at the cafe, she knew she had no choice.
And then the bill came and she paid.
The kids though, didn't want to leave yet, so Yoru suggested going to the park, saying she'll drive.
So they went to the park, and the moment they arrived, the kids dragged Takeshi over to play some baseball with them.
Yoru chuckled as she waved at Takeshi who just gave her another betrayed look and she got out of the car and locked the doors before going to sit on a bench and taking out the story she was reading as she decided to continue while the kids were busy.
At one point though, Genta shouted, "Ah watch out!" Yoru looked up to see the ball heading in her direction.
She blocked it with her book before she caught it in her hand, giving the kids a stern look as she asked, "Ok, who hit it?" They looked at Genta which made Yoru sigh "Genta-kun, you should watch yourself and not get too excited. You're a big boy so you have more strength, you could've hurt someone with that ball."
Genta looked down in shame and replied, "Hai. Gomenesai..." Yoru smiled and ruffled his head as she said, "Good. As long as you make sure to not get too excited, we won't have anything to worry about. Promise me?"
Genta smiled and looked back up then replied, "Yeah! I promise!" and with that, Yoru gave the ball back and let them continue playing.
Genta had difficulty at first, but he kept his promise for the rest of the game, and he looked pretty proud of himself for not causing another incident.
After that, the kids came back looking exhausted but happy, even Takeshi, who was against playing with them, was smiling a really adorable tired smile.
Yoru smiled at them as she closed her book, noticing that the sun was setting so she ruffled Takeshi's hair and said, "Looks like you all had fun. That's great. But now it's time to go home, it's late."
The kids let out an "Ehhh?" in disappointment as Yoru stood up and gave them all a small smile, "You guys can still meet after school you know. Takeshi-kun will always have to come to the cafe so if you want to hang out, you can ask me permission then."
That cheered them back up as they all hugged and Yoru giggled at the adorable sight. Though Takeshi looked pretty sleepy so she picked him up after the hug.
She couldn't help the smile at seeing him immediately fall asleep on her shoulder and said to the kids goodnight before she went to the car and drove them home to Haido
AN: Done. I know it's not much, but at least it's wholesome. Takeshi is so cute, don't you think? OwO
Anyway, sorry that it was kind of short. But did you still like it? Hope to see your feedback soon!
That's all. See you next chapter!
Stay sweet my fellow anime lovers!~
