Hello, readers! Welcome to me talking about MILGRAM! For this topic, I'm going to talk about my verdict for the 1st Trial of MILGRAM. I know that the 1st Trial has already ended, but I still want to join in the fun and try to distinguish whether or not I should forgive these prisoners or not. After all, these characters are morally gray and that there's not right or wrong with what they do. Plus, the prisoners murder/crimes are very controversial... I'm looking at you, Yuno...
Anyhow, take note that these are my thoughts before I watched the 2nd Trial. I'm planning to watch the 2nd Trial by two batches, and I already finished one batch. The other batch will be watched once Kotoko's 2nd Trial MV is released. Now, with that out of the way, let me present to you all my verdict of MILGRAM's 1st Trial!
First off, we got Haruka Sakurai. For Haruka, I'd forgive him. His song, Weakness, just hits hard for me. It's so frickin relatable, and it made me want to forgive him. He deserved some therapy. In fact, everyone needs one. Yeah, I'll forgive him due to how a relatable blue characters are. Regardless, Haruka is precious and he deserved some therapy. Thus, I'll forgive you, Haruka.
Next, we have Yuno Kashiki. I'm actually conflicted with this, but I'm leading to forgive her. I think Umbilical is a great song to sing, but... The song's context just made me feel discomfort... I'm sensitive to topics relating to teenage pregnancy and abortion... I'm against to those said topics. Why do I forgive Yuno? It's because we don't know a lot more of Yuno, and I believe that there's more to her than what we have in the surface. Thus, I'm unsure of my verdict for Yuno.
Next up is Fuuta Kajiyama. Definitely not forgiven, but still I'm still conflicted with it. For this, he not only viewed everything like it's a game based on the MV, he sure has an egotistical personality! He really reminds me of my friend that acts similar to him. Only for this case, that friend of mine doesn't went far and is a precious bean that needs to be protected at all cost. Regardless, Fuuta has the ego, but I believe that he regretted what he had done. Plus, he's just the most normal one to react towards this whole prison situation he's in. Conflicted or not, I'll vote him as unforgiven.
Next is Mu Kusonoki. I'd forgive her... If we're basing it on the MV alone... I feel bad for Mu when I first watched the MV, and it deals with bullying... Her "sorry spells" sure did work on me! I seriously felt bad for Mu! Since this is just the 1st trial, I'd forgive her... But my perspective of the vote changed once I heard the 1st trial VD and her personality shift at the 2nd trial...
Next to Mu is Shidou Kirisaki... Definitely forgiving him! He's a doctor, and is a licensed one! That's before the whole conundrum of him being a murderer. Plus, the murder involves his profession... Organ transplanting, I think... I don't see any problem with it yet, so I'm wondering as to why Shidou wanted to be unforgiven. I understand why that'd be the case, but really... He was allowed to perform organ transplanting and see that he's wrong to do it multiple times. Thus, I forgive Shidou for such.
Up next is Mahiru Shina! Okay... I'm conflicted on whether or not Mahiru is going to be forgiven or not. Judging from how I view it, I would like to not forgive her, due to how toxic her way of thinking is about love... And I believe she's unaware of such... Nevertheless, her song is a bop, but I'm still conflicted. I'll just go with the unforgiven vote, which is based on my feelings towards it... I'd feel something's off when I read the subtitles/lyrics of her song...
Next on the list is Kazui Mukuhara. Oh boy... I'm so conflicted with Kazui's... Nothing suggests the possibility that he's meant to be forgiven or not. This leads me to be unsure on whether I should forgive him or not. Thus, I'd just forgive him and see where this is going. I'm interested into knowing about Kazui and see what else he has in store for us in the 2nd trial.
Up next on the list now is Amane Momose! I'm also conflicted on this, but I'm leaning towards forgiving her. She just doesn't deserved to be in that situation, and come on! Her MV and song is good! Then the dark part happened... I'm not okay... Basically, I'd see Amane as forgiven, but I'm still unsure if she deserved that verdict.
Then, we're now at Mikoto Kayano... I'M DEFINITELY NOT FORGIVING HIM AT ALL! He's a literal psychopath! I also find it funny that his song, MeMe, already has 6+ Million views. Like, y'all are something for simping that guy... Well, at least I'm disturbed by the MV and made a fair verdict for the 1st trial. Might be changed once the 2nd trial happened, but we'll see.
And finally, we got Kotoko Yuzuriha. I'm quite conflicted with Kotoko's as well. I think she did well with playing the role as Es' fang. I wouldn't forgive her, similar to Fuuta's case. She still has a vigilante justice personality, which made me conflicted if I should forgive her or not. With that in mind, I'll just not forgive her. But if we're talking about the plot of MILGRAM, I would want Kotoko to be Es' fang. That's an interesting turn for the whole MILGRAM story in general.
And that's my verdict on the 1st Trial so far! I have to admit, it's quite conflicting... There's no black and white morality system in these characters after all... Which is a good thing, as our characters feel like real people that were suffering deep within... Thus, I hope that you all were sticking up to the very end in reading my verdict. I also wanted to hear your verdict about these prisoners back in the 1st Trial. So, what's your verdict on these prisoners in the 1st Trial? I definitely want to know! That's all, and have a great day!
